What happened was that non-accepting parents of trans youth began to feel social pressure to get the standard treatments for their gender dysphoric kids so they burned down the field so even accepting parents can't treat their kids now.

My first job was updating point of sale software for Y2K. Tiny company but they had 6 of us in a literal basement reviewing and updating thousands of lines of code. Nothing broke because they spent probably a years worth of revenue preventing it. That was one small niche software company.

I truly don't understand how people keep falling for this. It has never once worked. I get the appeal of saying a magic spell and getting a free house. But it has never worked. Yet people still think it'll work for them.
