Viktor frowned. He shifted to stand, bringing himself slowly over to Jayce. From behind, those gentle hands slip up the back of his clothes. Coming around the front to his abs. Viktor hugging him from behind. Face pressed against his shoulder blade.

He would make a remark, but instead he will keep that to himself.
"Perhaps he wanted to challenge you."

"Why is he a dick? What happened?"
He asked. Looking quite concerned for Jayce.

Viktor shrank a little at seeing Jayce. Partly worried he might catch that anger himself.
"I'm alright. It's ehh.. my back. Probably slept strangely.
What is wrong?"

"Jayce?"
He looked to him with soft eyes. He looked.. flustered.

"Dont bother. I don't want special treatment. That's worse."
He sighed. Nuzzling his love's chest.

Viktor stays quiet. He's just tired of being treated like a criminal. He's a scientist! Half of hextech. And he's treated like that. It hurt. He breaks a little under Jayce's warmth. Shrinking and turning to nuzzle his chest.

"Its everywhere I go."
He hugged himself.
"Doesn't matter. I will always be seen as less than."

"And what if Zaun no longer allows Piltovans in? They'd force their way in and put anyone who disputes in Stillwater."
How could Jayce not see it?

".."
He simply turned away. It's hard for Zaunites to get by as it is. Now because of a few bad eggs they are all treated like criminals.

"What-? How?"
He tried to get up, but his back hurt. Forcing him to lay down again.
He groaned.
"Damnit.."

"It happens frequently.. one of us gets excited and then... ehh.. you see the rest in action."
He chuckled nervously.

"It would be organized, but we are both to blame. Sky tries to keep it clean. I fear that is a mountainous task."

He smiled a little more. His cheeks warmed a little.
"Have you seen the lab lately? I apologize if you have. It's a.. ehh.. a mess."

"Zaun gumbo is spicy and usually includes some seafood. If you'd like to come over some time, I could make it for you."
He offered. Mel was such a beautiful woman. It's hard not to be jealous when Jayce gets to indulge her company.

"Finest and dullest mixed in an unfortunate jumble."
Viktor will be the one to say it. Especially about Hoskel. The old man makes him uncomfortable.
"Its like a very sad gumbo. Have you tried the dish before?"

"Mel."
He cracked a smile and even straightened up a bit. Evidently she's a sight for sore eyes.
"Yes. I made a promise to Jayce, I dont intend to break it."
Even if it helps with Viktor just being there. He will support the both of them.

Viktor is there, though none too pleased about it. He is leaned against his cane, the champagne in hand. He came because Jayce needed the support. Now he's off somewhere, distracted.

"It isn't. I am always held at the gate. It is ridiculous! Because I'm not born in Zaun I cannot be here? That is outrageous.."

"But not all zaunites are responsible for it. Why does the whole suffer for the fate of the few?"

"Non at the moment- can I lay down and think Jayce? Please? I was just searched at the gate. You have the bloody book.."
He was irritated as well.
"These new rules are incredibly prejudiced."

With the dimming of the blinds, he takes that as invitation to lay down on the sofa. Viktor just wanted to be home without it being a whole thing.

"I am not lying. They cannot help with the filtration. At least they won't speak to me about it."
He should be offended. But he isn't.
"Jayce, I just walked all day. I'm really tired. Can we not do this?"
comment in response to

"I told you. Nothing new."
He waited. It's inevitable that he will be yelled at, isn't it? He just needs to wait.

He gets home and sits himself on the sofa. Letting his exhaustion take over.

"Neither can I. I feel.. safer. With you."
Safer in Piltover. He follows Jayce back home. Taking his time with the few steps he has to take to get there. Piltover is not very friendly to those with physical challenges.

He nodded. Walking at a slow pace. Making his way back home. He's certain he's going to hear more about it later.

Viktor coughed as he did. Leaning into him a little. He pats his arm. Unable to properly hug back in this position.

Viktor wasn't dull enough to leave his private thoughts in there. He knows nothing is secret when in Piltover.
".. Nothing. They were surprisingly lost as to what I was talking about."

"I was going to see some acquaintances. I didn't think you'd be very interested."
Viktor looked tired. Travellings between the cities wears on him.
He stands and gets ready to go.
An enforcer hands Jayce a journal. Viktor's journal. It was confiscated. They had searched him.

"...What is the look for?"
He looked to Jayce. Viktor half expected to be scruffed like a stray cat.

"Told? Told what?"
He asked. Confused about what she might mean.

"Oh- I suppose it will just need to be waited out.."
He frowned a little.
"How unfortunate?"
