Me too! The Searcher was very good as well but I do miss the detective series. Haven’t got to The Hunter yet.

This one made me ugly cry. It’ll be posted on my list eventually too.

Have you read it? It’s both quirky as hell and profoundly moving.

Oh my gosh it’s been so long since I thought about this book. I remember loving it.

I still vividly remember how disturbed I was by the ending of this one. It haunted me. I was probably reading this one too young.

lol I haven’t seen this but I am guilty of ordering a cheeseburger with no meat from McDonald’s when I was a vegetarian but craving those Golden Arches. Before the rise of fast food veggie burgers!

The upsetting noises and screaming went on so long it got oppressive and uncomfortable—it definitely had an effect—but I wish it had a coherent story too. And a shorter run time, agree.

This movie started off decently unnerving and then devolved so hard into chaotic noises happening in the dark for 60 minutes and confusing arthouse visuals that my wife ranted about it for like, 20 minutes when it ended. If we’d paid for it I think she would have rioted.

Since you said you liked The Wailing, try The Medium (2021 - Thailand) and if you like horror comedy, watch Deadstream. I love my Shudder sub.
