Also, I'm sorry. Not quite sure how alt text works. Couldn't figure out how to do it on this post.

My friends and I wrote this together. The rules were to write the cabin story we wanted, to have fun writing, and we'd collaborate details after the first drafts. 16 authors, 17 stories, one cabin, one floor plan (included) tons of fun!

It shows the thread to be blocked for me. If it's still available to you it's probably showing me blocked because of the block lists I've subscribed to. I am going to link them in a reply to myself for any who needs them.

"aspiring writer" check, "witty and snarky" nope, "advocate" does ally count?, "abrasive exterior" i don't think i am, "charm and sweet" definitely sweet but charm is subjective. She sounds like a character i would want to be though.

I got 87% match with the character Emma Morley (One Day). I haven't seen this movie so idk the character.

The ring and Mirrors because the haunting thought that something mundane could release a nightmare upon anyone is my favorite horror movie concept.

Maybe your race is really a marathon. The time between spurts would let you consider the progress you have made and how things may come back to "bite" the character(s) or be resolved.

I get that, everything started going downhill the minute they started expecting us to sacrifice our comforts to protect the normies. They were much safer when we put up "warning: sirens" signs than with the "drowning hazard" signs.

So far my favorite introduction I've ever read. Particularly "misidentified creature forecasts".

Janitors and similar don't get nearly enough recognition.

No, just impoverished. Life isn't a highway, it's a hike through a bog while carrying a heavy backpack.
