Just trying to survive this dystopia. I distrust overt display of political fealty and party affiliations.
We must fight to allow others to have the right to offend us.

The GOP rule is that actors and reality TV personalities cannot make political statements, unless they take Republican positions.
Then, as with Trump and Ron Reagan, they may do so and may even run for office.

As I see it, protest is the ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ of every citizen who wants to improve the country. In this age of media spin, it has to be done in a very savvy way. Waving a Mexican flag during a counter ICE protest is, shall we say, sub-optimal.
The message can be the same, but the optics matter.

Britain abolished slavery in most of its colonies with the Slavery Abolition Act of 1833. This Act received Royal Assent on August 28, 1833, and took effect on August 1, 1834. Slavery in areas administered by the East India Company, the island of Ceylon and Saint Helena were initially exempt.

I'd rather a sane hawk than a crazy "dove" who tramples on the Constitution daily.

All the press corps needs do is say "President Trump, some say he's a hero, do you agree, and given the chance, might you pardon him?"
Trump would jump into that mud puddle with both feet.

I agree. We don't have to approve of someone's opinions to treat them with dignity.
That's short enough to be a party platform.

No matter the motive there should be no problem denouncing the shooting.

Ask Trump if some Democrats should be shot. Any bets whether he'd say: "I dunno, maybe some of them."

Everyone prefers a story of good versus evil while recoiling from the possibility that the villain might be similar to ourselves.

In the short term it buys time for the CEO to collect a sweet bonus. The long term plan is to retire in London.

At this point would MAGA even want to denounce violence against Democrats?
I bet if the press corps asked him directly, Drumpf would say some Democrats deserve it.

At this point such an argument is academic.
We ๐๐๐๐๐๐
use any claims of rigging as a basis for ensuring that all voters can safely and freely cast their ballots in the future. We must make sure that results are accurate and transparent and the processes are trusted.

Tactics used to encourage one group to close ranks often have the same effect on the opposition. If the goal is eventual re-unification, these effects must be moderated. If the goal is civil war, then all bets are off.

The Sturmabteilung cried about Bolsheviks, and now MAGA screams about Marxists. This lazy agitprop is risible.
