Two articles, side by side. The HOPE I hold in my heart is this anti-science-pro-conspiracy-theory era in government lasts only for these four years and then we can rebuild the integrity and smarts of these institutions. Links in first comment.

Attribution science is getting better and better. It's tough. I'm glad we have it. Remember this. Full study, methodology, and source in first comment. __________________________ This AOL link is a reprint from NBC News. www.aol.com/conditions-f...

1/2 Because it is happening more and more from my own side I have to throw down the gauntlet. If you post a screenshot or meme about current events or social issues and you don't include a real link to the source, I'm just going to consider it fake and move on. Sorry, that's where we are now.

Trump is not a king. He may act like it right now but as Klein says in the essay, “He's acting like a king because he’s too [politically] weak to govern like a President!” youtu.be/K8QLgLfqh6s?...

1/3_In addition to the Federal cases against Trump being withdrawn, it now looks like the DT admin wants to investigate the investigators. Before it is forgotten to revisionist history, I want to share this hour-and-a-half synopsis video of the January 6th hearings. It is comprehensive and damning.

Damn the man. Damn his stunted boy-soul. Damn his father. And damn the smallness of those who fell under the spell of infantile regression — thumb sucking and stabbing in the dark at their imagined fears. We are all a lesser people for it.

The full video of this morning's NASA/NOAA press conference declaring 2024 as the hottest year in the thermometer record is now up and available... youtu.be/hzJpGeTEho8?...

Two things are happening simultaneously. The L.A. fires and the NASA/NOAA announcement about 2024 being the hottest year in the thermometer record. Tonight on PBS NewsHour head NASA climatologist Gavin Schmidt ties the two together. VIDEO: youtu.be/tCi6TnyoIJo?...

VIDEO: NASA & NOAA: 2024 is officially the hottest year, exceeding even the crazy 2023 measurements. La Niña may push 2025 to a slightly lower temp, but still likely to be within the top 5 years. youtu.be/KCfSkBvo22o?...

NASA/NOAA climate announcement and press conference. US times: FRIDAY, 12pm Eastern, 11am Central, 10am Mountain, 9am Pacific. This event is likely to be overshadowed by Trump's sentencing hearing, distracting many Americans from *hearing* this information. Let's help spread the word.

Oh no. Trump sentencing is now Jan 10th. That will be so "media-loud" that I fear the NASA/NOAA press conference about world temps may get even less attention than usual. It happens that very morning.

Many, and I mean many, of my peers read One Hundred Years of Solitude, but I did not. It was on every friend's bookshelf in the 90s. It is considered a major classic. Now, Netflix has a film adaptation that is getting good reviews. Am I a sinner if I watch it first?

Meta properties right now...
