Mein Traumjob wäre wirklich sowas wie Öffentlichkeitsarbeit einer Behörde wie dem Eichamt. Man gibt so Logos und Merchandise in Auftrag, muss manchmal auf Messen (hehe, "messen", Eichamt), aber hat nie sowas wie nen Shitstorm, Angst, dass der Laden pleite geht oder den Zwang, viral zu gehen.

Ich war ja beim Bund und einmal saß in der Kantine so eine Gruppe mittelalter Frauen mit Dienstgrad Stabsfeldwebel. Mir wurde dann erklärt, dass das irgendwelche spezialisierten Verwaltungsfachangestellten waren, die halt wegen der Besoldung direkt diesen Rang hatten.

I always say books are not sacred objects. They are tools. When a tool breaks, you repair if you can and replace if you can’t.

Most libraries are not archives. There is little to be gained by sacrificing shelf space to a book from 2003 that nobody is reading.
Worse, there’s often plenty to be lost. Mold can “infect” books easily and spread to whole shelves. It’s far better to toss one than lose the whole collection.
