In my years as a civil rights lawyer, I’ve never seen a more clear cut First Amendment violation, or a more flagrant government declaration of intent to violate blackletter law. Part of the point here is to dare the courts to uphold longstanding precedent.

It seems few people grasp the difference between rate of change and absolute change. If the growth rate hadn't increased after 1960-1970, CO₂ concentrations would now be about 60 ppm lower. At a continued linear rate, we would have reached today's concentrations around 2095.
