And the nearly 80 million who voted for him.

Canada's are going down. That's the real reason Trump keeps floating the 51st state thing. Our economy isn't in a nosedive.

If it makes you feel any better, I love the books enough for multiple people LOL

The CBC isn't making that claim. Maria Popova, from McGill is. And she's a Russia/Ukraine expert, not a US/Canada foreign policy one.
I don't think actual leaders in Canada are ignoring the treats, or the possibility for this to go the exact same was as Russian/Ukraine.

I am surprised you didn't note all the complaints about AHS having a "monopoly" in the health services industry. And how there needs to be more market competition. I actually yelled at my computer when she said that.

Hey Danielle. If these private centers were doing 40K surgeries in 2019 and are now doing 60K, that isn't 60K surgeries that wouldn't have happened without these centers. I know math is hard - but it's only an increase of 20K. Fuck.

His assertation that she was asking histrionic questions, to then have hysterics himself is just a perfect example of the current state of the USA.

They should have invited him to the game in Montreal. The response "I can't enter Canada as a convicted felon" would be lit!

I am not OK with that. But we are talking specifically about professional sports here.

Yah, fully understand on the Trump/FAA fuckery front. I wasn't going there intentionally. Just wondering if CBC was trying to implicate that. I generally really like the CBC and support it. So I gotta do the bias check before making judgement calls.

Since Christmas I've played through the whole DA series to Inquisition (which is currently on my TV as I type)!

So yes, the FAA does have a part to play in closing traffic at Pearson? I am just trying to understand whether the mentioning of the FAA by CBC may or may not be in bad faith.

The US wasn't playing hockey. We brought sticks and pucks to an MMA brawl.

In what context? I mean, mentioning the FAA is fine and relevant in the correct context.

Its called sports entertainment for a reason. These aren't kids playing peewee hockey.

No, it's not. Why can't both of these things be wrong?

You say this like it's a new concept. White washing has been fought against and criticized for decades in the entertainment industry.
Why is it OK for a white person to "play the role" of a minority when there are minorities who could play the role themselves?

Y'all had a shot to "Screw that Orange Oogie Boogie Thing" and collectively, y'all failed. So expect a little less "allyship" from Canadians.

I read safety and security in a Chernobyl sense, not an Iran sense, especially since everything before that is about the energy sector. In order for either Poland or Canada to develop a nuclear weapon program, there would need to be a lot of agreement from a ton of international bodies.

I believe there is a fairly large technical and legal difference between a reactor and a warhead. But I am open to being educated otherwise

Mini-reactors for power generation are a military deterrence?

Oh I know! And it's amazing. I am so glad we've finally taken this step, It's long overdue. But I still don't understand what that has to do with NATO in this context. How does this partnership relate to whether NATO has military plans to stop the USA?
comment in response to

Not sure what this has to do with NATO - but daaammmnnn good on Trudeau! This is a landmark agreement!
comment in response to

Trump wont listen to NATO. He's have pulled out already if he could. As it is, he would just ignore whatever NATO said. He'd call NATO's bluff.

Treat him well Ottawa. He brought some much needed light to the Elks in their deep dark seasons. He's a genuinely fantastic human being, and I will miss seeing him in the community and at the stadium.

Musk has 22 billion in secure contracts with the government. 22,000,000,000/365=60 million.
It's pretty safe to assume at least 13% of that goes directly to Elon.

Ok, so what about the 69 million who already have? I get it. It's hard. And?

File taxes, file for employment insurance, reply to the census, log into your revenue agency account. All these places you can be confirmed on the voter rolls.

Yah great. Now what about those 69 million who have?

Huh, considering I am a child of the 90s - this song is highly formative to me. I am not sure I've ever seen the video. Watching the video makes the satire really apparent.

Hey America. Do you know what actually threatened Hitler during his rise? A general strike, grinding the gears of the economy to a halt.
The German people didn't do it. And this is what they got.
