As someone who's spent an awful lot of money on buying cigars its eye opening. Especially when you look at your humidor full of them and think: "I'm going to set fire to all of these."

I suspect the markets are going to keep gyrating until Trump drops this completely and just goes back to giving tax cuts to billionaires.

We get alignment on for standards which helps stop the damage brexit was doing to our agricultural businesses. It also helps a lot with northern Ireland. 12 years of fishing also puts to bed annual negotiations which allows us to concentrate on other things. Brexit is shit. This makes it less shit.

Prime might have the most amazing movies but I’ll never know because the UI gives me headache after 3 minutes.

One possible benefit of Jenkins and the entire Telegraph team is that their writing is such utter rubbish it immediately posions any AI engine consuming it. Rendering it useless.

Are they using the same firm that predicted all the extra kids that would end up in the state system because of VAT on schools fees? I really wish people on the right would relearn a sense of shame. It would help for so many things.

If people's pensions go up in smoke then I think the rage will be uncontrollable. You tell people that they have save for their retirement only to let a bunch tech bros billionaires blow it all up.

As with everything, the centrist dog will drop the ball at your feet then try to bite you when you pick it up to throw it.

He’s even dumber than that. Minford will at least admit that his policies would destroy certain industries. Navarro somehow thinks this will work miracles across the board.

They're was a week somewhere in 1997 where everything felt OK. Why can't we just go back to that. I am aware that this is very UK centric view πŸ˜‚

I did it because I wanted in one place to track etc. My wife has 7 pensions and there is no way I could cope with that. She is far better organised than me.

Ultimately it depends on the return that the pension fund is giving you / the charges that you incur / how "safe" you feel with that provider. I had 4 spread across Aviva, Ageon, The People's Pension and Scottish Widows and I moved it all to Scottish Widows due to its perf relative to the others

Like most things George Osbourne did the OBR is just a stupid thing to do. With a million unintended consequences. I get that given the whole Liz Truss debacle we can't ignore them but their has to be a question around what value do they provide.
