Based on what I could find, buses run only 5 times a day and the San Joaquin doesnāt go past Bakersfield which is far from LA. A similar distance in Europe, say HamburgāNuremberg, takes 4.5 hours with departures roughly every 30 mins.

Itās the busiest train station in the country by passenger numbers. It feels very crowded around 5-6 pm.

I read somewhere that controlled access and grade separation for major roads was an Italian invention originally but I wasnāt able to find the quote. Someone please look this up.

The Netherlands removed tram services and marginalized cycling in favor of the car after WWII just like every other country in that era. The tide only turned in the 70s and 80s. Franceās āvĆ©lorutionā is even more recent.

I like the general idea of these but theyāre not very inclusive to different types of bikes (cargo bikes or trikes popular among disabled cyclists) and they rely on people not vandalizing them in order to remain operational.

A lot of the racks Iāve seen in the NL are designed for max 15 kg / 33 lbs but that doesnāt stop Dutchies from sitting on themā¦

I think the turnstile might be for people and bikes go up and down the ramp. The lockers in the third pic appeared to be big enough for cargo bikes but I didnāt get an opportunity to observe more closely.
