I love the cut of your jib, my friend. I took a couple weeks of internet holiday and I missed your posts SO much. As an aside, I don't even know where to access DMs (and I don't want to know). (grins)

I recently visited Iceland and one of the guides was talking about how they supply most of the country with fresh vegetables by using greenhouses. The greenhouses allow them to grow year-round and manage the little soil they have.

That's awesome, my friend! I love moths. I love them even more than I love butterflies (and that's quite a bit - grins).

I want a bar where the focus is dancing and not picking up ANYONE. It doesn't even have to be a women's bar. Just a not hitting on anyone and allowing other people to simply dance bar.

That's not the same thing at all.

When I was single, I would have LOVED a women-facing only club. Often I just wanted to dance and listen to music and not have to worry about the other stuff (i.e. guys hitting on me).

Yep, I know enough Trump supporters to know they absolutely knew he'd deport moms and kids and entire families. And they are happy that it is happening now.

The foam mattresses were a layer of foam over a slab of plywood. One of my sisters still prefers to sleep on the floor because that is what she became accustomed to.

LOL We had hastily dug latrines i.e. outhouses also. And that WAS plural. Because we lived at the bottom of a hill and when the area flooded (every few years), all of our neighbours' outhouses would float down the hill and end up at our place. It was literally sh*t city. (grins)

I've seen one Canadian small press really f*ck authors over. So Canadian publishers are definitely not exempt. That's for certain.

I'm cheering for you and your plants! June frosts. (shakes head again)

I've done that also! Turned over pots, with a board over the drainage holes, are good too.

(shakes head) Climate is truly broken. If you're ever stuck for row coverings for frost, use old bedsheets, my friend. I grew up poor and that's what we did all the time. (Because we were so poor we then had to sleep on bare foam mattresses but hey, both we and the plants survived!)

Yes, how DARE we be on fire! (grins) On a semi-serious note, my number one fear is fire so this isn't a super happy time in the Sax household. We aren't in danger (having received rain almost every day this month) but loved ones are and that is worrisome.

You have patience, my friend. Much more than I have. I no longer have any patience for the trolls in my areas of expertise.

Look at that barely-suppressed smirk on her face. She definitely voted for this.

What? The large shrubberies too? Wildness. LOL

Americans pay at least half also. They just pay it in little bits. Everywhere. So they believe they're not paying as much as people in other countries are. There are taxes and fees attached to everything.

Awww...that's magical, my friend!

LOL Margaret is speaking some truths.

Romances can be quite doomy, however. My worlds, for example, are quite bleak. And there is always one major 'dark moment' in each romance, some scenes where all seems lost and hopeless. But they are all about finding your beings, finding beings you trust and can rely on, and I love that.
