disagree. In practice AI doesn't output more than necessary, so it doesn't handle a lot of the bugs, edge cases and compatibility issues a library does.
It wouldn't make sense anyway you'd get 1000s of lines for a simple prompt 😃

yeah some things you still have to learn no matter how good AI gets
But I assume it'll eventually get so cheap it won't matter anymore if you waste all these tokens to rewrite a lib from scratch (provided it doesn't hallucinate half way 😃)

Fair, might make sense for some apps.
But I'd rather bookmark the dashboard instead and have the control. Browsers are pretty good at making frequent pages the top hit in the URL bar after a while

tl;dr
libs are cool, battle tested and handle all sorts of time consuming edge cases you don't think about.
ask the AI to use them and do a quick lookup on gh before building something from scratch :)

Yes something like that.
The thing is some heavy UIs (think dashboards) don't benefit that much besides the initial load because you'd still need to continuously fetch data on the client.
I am not sure I see the benefit of server actions for most apps behinds a login.
