36 Islands was excellent!

Fascinating! I’m intrigued, how do you run your images through AI?

LIDAR would significantly improve identification, but it’s very expensive as I’m sure you know. Still, if you’re able to get out on the ground then, given the breaks in the forest, you should get confirmation. Pretty exciting stuff, eh?! I feel a book followed by a movie coming on! 😀

The only way to know for sure is to get some ground truth. When are you heading out?

You absolutely have something there. Bottom left is the most convincing for me.

It’s excellent fun! I just wish I had access to GIS mapping. It would save me the bother of heading out there!

These images are examples of some of the clusters of voids I’ve all within a very small area. I’m trying to find a decent topological map which indicates height etc.

Hopefully this provides a better comparison. There are lots of similar impressions (I’m resisting the word ‘shapes’) across the area. If you’re into the general subject I highly recommend reading this: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Los...

Any ideas what this might be? I’ve labelled it ‘People’ not because I think the shapes are people, more of just a name.

Bottom right image looks the S bend of a stream. If it’s fast flowing, the two white specs could be created by the water hitting objects.

Sounds like a plan! I’m now looking myself - it’s hard not to see straight lines everywhere! 😆 I’ve started a project using Google Earth. Every man needs a hobby!

I think what you’re doing is very interesting. LiDAR will provide a stronger evidence base… if you have the means. I’d also be tempted to ask other people with local knowledge about security in the area. You may be being ‘misinformed’.

I think I know how those blocks got there. 😉 @flintdibble.bsky.social

Mystery solved. 😉
