I drive missiles that run on scissors (trains), make strange noises with circuits, observe conflicts, research break-away movements, and write. Not an expert - I work for a living.

REVEALED: we identified the operator of an overtly racist X account, "GlomarResponder," as ICE Assistant Chief Counsel James Rodden, based on an overwhelming number of biographical details matched through publicly available documents, other social media activity, and courtroom observation.

I managed to find every podcast episode that had any mention of the Uatonomous Mutant Festival in their transcript. The relavmtive obscurity of it feels so odd having had gone to it for a decade before just not going for 9 years and then going again for a short while in 2024. Just odd to me.

Coming to terms with the fact that there's no good reason that I compulsively write everything in the key of D. I don't even know why I do it... I just start everything in D for no reason.

Oh look! It’s the Democrats’ political strategy manual:

Aaaaand playing around with adding to last night’s bass & snare…

It's going to be a long four years, especially if we make ourselves insane misreading budget documents. This is a story where multiple things are true at the same time and it's a warning about how we consume information going forward gizmodo.com/the-400-mill...

Toying around with a production technique: I split the bass to three parallel reverbs and a fourth distortion channel. I then ran the reverb to two stereo panned channels - hard left and right. Then repeated the process for the snare but reversing the distortion & reverb. Sounds alright.

I’m a bit confused as to what the endgame is for a federal government that’s eating itself. I get the part where some would’ve kleptocrats want to make a lot of money by wielding power in a manner that allows them to steal a bunch of wealth from the state. But…

One of the more remarkable things about electoral politics in the past 8 years is how so many people (I’m talking just lefties and liberals - small “L”… I don’t actually care what anyone to the right of liberals thinks) are mad about so many different and occasionally competing outcomes. It’s wild.

It’s time to organize: “The internet has conditioned us to constantly seek new information, as if becoming a sponge of bad news will eventually yield the final piece of a puzzle. But there is also such a thing as having enough information.” www.404media.co/you-cant-pos...

The struggle between wanting to be left alone and wanting to not be alone is real. I dotn have anythjngnmore to say about it at the moment… it’s just been on my mind a lot.

At first I was like, “I don't want to get up and go to work.” I still don't. Nothing changed.

Only thing I have to say about the tarriffs… as someone who participated in protests in Quebec against the expansion of NAFTA back in 2001. 🤷🏾‍♂️ I guess, we won! NAFTA is over. Feels weird. Wasn't what I was expecting… but… we… did it… ?

There are two types of people in the world: • Those who stand in the darkness, afraid to step into the light. • Those who need to help somebody when the edge of surrender’s in sight. Don’t worry. It’s gonna be alright.

My 4 year old is really into Tigers, and Survivor’s 1982 song Eye of the Tiger, and ABBA’s 1976 song, Tiger. She’s taken to whispering the line “people who fear me, never come near me, I am the tiger” under her breath. I am a proud parent.

I am a former incarcerated firefighter. I served in a California fire camp from 2009 to 2012. Misinformation is afire on the internet, so here are facts about the prison firefighter program, all in one place. A thread.

MSNBC reported overnight that Tulsi Gabbard's DNI confirmation hearing has been delayed indefinitely, hopefully, at least in part, due to her chemical weapon attack denialism www.bellingcat.com/news/mena/20...

Well… at least now I have a lot more context for the eerie element in his depictions of power & sexuality in the novels of his that I’ve read. I still can’t quite put my finger on it, but his characters’ suffering always seems like it’s going to have more of a point than it ultimately does. It’s odd
