It's nearly 5am and Republicans just rammed through their pro-billionaire, anti-middle class budget blueprint. In order to pass massive tax giveaways for billionaires, they're going to defund Medicaid, slash veterans benefits, & force kids to go hungry. Make sure everyone knows it.

Due to extremely cold weather, my community water system had a water main break. A boil order has been issued. The links to CDC publications referenced by the ND Department of Environmental Quality as resources for making water safe to drink have been taken down and cannot be accessed.

The US Indian Health Service (IHS) is chronically underfunded and has a 30% vacancy rate, despite health care being a treaty obligation. Covering NM, I have lost count of how many times I’ve heard the Indigenous refrain, “just don’t get sick before October” (the start of the federal fiscal year).
