“We will not take lectures on antisemitism from segregationists and neo-nazis.” @illdottore.bsky.social, a Columbia University professor, speaks out against the kidnapping of Mahmoud Khalil.

Starbucks' CEO Brian Niccol earned $100,000,000 in his first 4 months on the job. That's a rate of $590 per minute. It took 33 minutes for him to earn $20,000. 👇👇👇 #UnionsForAll

This week, we took direct action to show Starbucks the urgency of finalizing contracts with the wages, staffing, and protections we need to thrive. We’re doing what it takes to win. And we won't stop until we do.

Parul Sehgal mentions @daisy-pitkin.bsky.social 's book in this essay and you should go buy or borrow ON THE LINE right now right now!

Woke up this morning to my 7yo quietly chanting, “We are strong, like King Kong. Trump is weak, chuck him in the creek!”

If you're on the Left(s), FTP will help you if you want to seek appointing or run for your local library board seat. Our 2025 cohort is currently midway through their training. We'll be offering a 2026 cohort: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F... - we've already supported people to run or be appointed.

Daisy's book literally saved me when I was in the pits of union bargaining. not only does she give you her own organizing story but she teaches us about a rich history of women organizers. A necessary read for everyone!!!

I have some new followers, so here I am with the paperback version of my book. Read it! Especially if you like stories about working people fighting and winning, or if you like to think about union democracy, labor history, and the transformative nature of resistance.

No contract, NO COFFEE! Starbucks workers are occupying store lobbies across multiple states. Don’t cross the picket line!

I cannot recommend this book any more highly. I really enjoyed it and it's so topical & perfect for the moment we are in. I included it on the list of books to read in Let This Radicalize You workbook resources (p. 102). Also read this excellent piece by Daisy here: thebaffler.com/latest/the-g...

FREE MAHMOUD KHALIL!!!!!

If you are new to direct action, you will be called "uncivil" at the very least. It's par for the course. Embrace it.

Chile ON STRIKE for a fair contract! Did you know that Starbucks workers on FOUR continents are organizing and fighting for better pay, staffing, and protections?

Starbucks baristas in Chile have just gone on STRIKE!!! Chilean congressman & former President of the Starbucks Workers Union of Chile, Andres Giordano, is with Bianca, a union barista from Los Angeles! Together, they're sending Starbucks workers everywhere international solidarity 🇨🇱🤝🇺🇸

IT'S HAPPENING: The biggest Cesar Chavez Day in modern history, straight from Delano. Join me and thousands of my closest friends. h/t @californialabor.bsky.social for the flyer. bit.ly/workermarch #WithTheseHands #ConEstasManos.

BREAKING: Starbucks workers at the S. Dale Mabry & Neptune location in Tampa, FL just WON the 550th union Starbucks store in the US! Not only that - baristas at 23 MORE stores are announcing organizing efforts today! When we fight together, we WIN together. And we're NOT slowing down. ✊🔥

This is your regular reminder that if unions didn't work, giant corporations wouldn’t spend millions and millions of dollars trying to stop workers from making them. Unions give workers power, and billionaire CEOs don't like that.

We’re going to hit 550 union stores tomorrow. Dozens more are quietly organizing. And these workers have BIG plans for the next couple of months. Follow @sbworkersunited.org for a daily drip of inspiration!

here goes for a cool, collected dive at death and destruction, and the devil fetch the hindmost

On Friday, workers across the country sent Valentines to the 7 customer allies who got arrested at a Brooklyn Starbucks store defending our right to bargain a fair contract. Sign our No Contract No Coffee pledge for info about upcoming actions! crm.broadstripes.com/ctf/SJID0H

Starbucks labels their coffee product sources as "100% Ethical." Today, a new report documents abusive labor & negative environmental practices within the supply chain Starbucks sources from in Mexico. This isn't the first time the alarm has went off.🧵 elpais.com/mexico/2025-...

Last month, allies & Starbucks workers participated in civil disobedience for the first time. Now, we're inviting baristas to join us for a series of trainings that explore the legacy of this powerful tactic that's helped workers & social movements win! More information soon. 🔥

Pressure to write messages on every cup during an understaffed rush - its more likely than you think😵‍💫 Our union is fighting for fair wages, scheduling, & more. If Starbucks can pay CEO Brian Niccol $800k a DAY, they can invest better in US, the workers. bit.ly/m/SBWU

I love this union. Imagine what we can do by commandeering 550 cafes across 45 states and the District of Columbia (that’s the current size/spread of SBWU) for community defense planning, trainings, and events. All hosted by union baristas.

PALESTINE: Education International welcomes the release of Palestinian teacher union leader Fatima Al-Rimawi www.ei-ie.org/en/item/2944...

Since going on the biggest ULP strike in Starbucks history at the end of last month, 30 STORES have filed to join Starbucks Workers United and over 500 union stores. Starbucks workers’ voices are loud & clear - union contracts are the only way to get real, material changes for our workplace. 🔥✊

An update on bargaining:

Law360 obtained the White House letter purporting to fire National Labor Relations Board member Gwynne Wilcox & general counsel Jennifer Abruzzo. It claims the agency "is not presently fulfilling its responsibility to the American people." It also gets both of their titles wrong.
