That's when you know they weren't truly your friend. A friend of convenience is no friend. Too many people have called me their friend only to disappear when they received from me what they were after. All I can say is that those friends you have who stick by you, those are your real friends.

They're for purchase. They're made by a company called Woodland Scenics. woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com?srsltid=AfmB...

The risers are retail. The ones I'm using came in a kit but they can be purchased separately. They're from Woodland Scenics and should be sold at your nearest hobby or model train shop.

That's a good question. No one can give me an answer to that.

The most difficult track to hunt down is a #6 left turnout. It's out of stock at almost every online store there is. Even my local model railroad shop doesn't have any. #6 right turnouts are available everywhere.

I used to announce my trips to the shop in case people wanted to make an outing of it. But it's difficult to co-ordinate when life can get so busy.

I sometimes think that drivers can't see life-size ones either.

You should!

Surprisingly enough they look good enough for a closeup shot even. Still, they're not good enough for a larger area. For that you either need an actual static grass applicator or a grass mat.

The grass tufts are stick ons. I currently don't have a static grass applicator, so I have to make do with what I can find.
