And St. John's is the capital city. I chuckled at that too. Clearly the writer is trying to milk this for maximum disaster effect. Time was every transatlantic flight stopped in Gander, so it is hard to believe people aren't aware of the place.

I beg to differ. He has the same immunity as the British monarch, and as head of the executive branch, far more power. This was the part you guys set up, even before you elected Caligula. Land of the free, my ass.

From the pile-on I think a lot of people aren't familiar with what NPR is, and haven't read the question - "What do people think of Trump's comments?"

He's on NPR. I think most of those who will be calling in from down there will be on our side, and I don't have a problem with this kind of cross-border communication. I think those pressuring Trump from within can only help us.

Speaking for the rest of the world, I have to say they are pretty bizarre. Same goes for your lawyer ads that seem to encourage people to get in an accident so they can sue and get rich.

Given his attempted shakedown of Ukraine, the closest parallel is Molotov Ribbentrop. Though like his other imperialist ravings, the idea of American troops butt up against the front lines on territory Putin wants makes no sense, unless he plans to just hand it over.

In reality they are trying to set up another Molotov Ribbentrop. But point taken...

Even that came down to shit on their side of the border - specifically 9/11.

He is a giant baby. He has only fallen into power because of the dumbasses who elected Trump.

I think the Brits, the Soviets, and the Spanish all excused their colonialism with that bullshit line.

The content is a bill tabled by a Conservative MP, and other documented actions. You might not like it, but it is factual, not a "talking point" and not propaganda.

But not the link evidently, in which journalists said they got timely responses - a change from Harper's time. Bottom line though is that the concerns are real, and your whataboutism is irrelevant.

Again... did you read the article? Or the headline?

If your boss orders you to get permission before speaking to the press, that is muzzling. Harper did the same thing to his entire cabinet.

Did you read the article? It isn't propaganda; Canada's information commissioner found the complaints to be true.

This is really about Russia trying to get U.S. sanctions removed, and ensuring they stop supporting Ukraine. Nothing else.
comment in response to
post
There is no indication that this is about anything other than Trump doing a deal with his good friend to cave on sanctions and pull support from Ukraine. And no indication that Putin plans on stopping.

Well there is certainly nothing about their meeting to indicate it is about ending the invasion of Ukraine, despite the claims.

And weaponized misinformation. The outbreak in Europe five years ago was driven by a Russian campaign based on one death from unrelated causes. www.science.org/content/arti...

This reminds me of a Canadian Supreme Court case which struck down "ridicules, belittles or otherwise affronts the dignity" from Saskatchewan's human rights legislation. It was a good decision. And there were plenty of other points on which the accused was found guilty. macleans.ca/news/canada/...

Well that's a relief. What would people do without god's rules about the proper way to keep slaves?
