Also, when that was written you couldn't just whip out your phone and ask Siri what the water levels were at the levee.
We checked them by hand AFTER driving there. That's the way it was and that's the way we liked it.

In all fairness, many of us awake the day after the company holiday party and find the details fuzzy.

Too violent for citizenship earned through being contributing members of society…but not so violent they can’t earn that citizenship by entertaining the Harkonnen

Can I be a dick about it?
Like in The Matrix when Neo says, “how about I give you the finger and you give me my phone all”

I wouldn't call him "grown-up"; "older" is a more appropriate adjective.

Like what is done with bad cops or molesting priests. Move them and avoid accountability.

At this point we should stop thinking of Lindsey as a separate person. He’s been fully assimilated.
He’s more like Trump’s colon now.

This fits for everything in this administration. We’re not surprised by their actions and outcomes but we’re shocked by the speed.
It’s an anti-norms blitzkrieg

“Stroke Your Cum Crayon - Yellow plays 2” was such a disappointment.
Just a duplicate of the first one with a side quest tacked on.

I doubt it will continue.
If there’s one thing that would make a cyber bully stop and think, it’s a person freaking out and rage quitting.
They would never look at that as an invitation to see who could cause it to happen again…and again and again and again

Again, the point is: I am successfully attacking a lie via verifiable facts. Winning the moment only to have the person come back to the lie later.
If the truth is told and accepted once it will still lose over time to the oft repeated lie. Hate to be dark, but I don't see how you fix that.

Trump made it the default policy to separate children from their parents. They packed children into appalling conditions, refusing to give them basic shit like toothbrushes. Usually, going out of their way to make sure the parents had no idea where they were.
Obama didn't do that.

Obama admin sued to be allowed to separate minors from adults crossing the border. Did this to combat very real concerns about child trafficking. It was used only when they believed the child was in danger.
So yes, Obama separated children from adults at the border and took them into ICE custody.

That's my point. People keep thinking reality will set in and it will shift opinions. The majority of those voters are immovable. We cannot await their come to jesus moment because it is not coming.
We need to find a different way.

With friends, I've explained some of the issues and republican/fox lies around immigration. RE: child separation and the "Obama did it too" myth. Eventually winning in the moment, only to hear them return to the lie a year later.
The truth cannot compete with an endless barrage of lies.

Seems to me this is the problem. No amount of Dem messaging or resistance can make up for the fact that an alarmingly large portion of our country lives in an alternate reality where the "real problems" are that schools are turning kids trans.
A constant stream of lies believed by default

Second post today where I thought, "how can you be that close to getting it and yet still not go the extra 1% to actually get it?"
I am shocked daily by the strength of people's bias to prevent any kind of meaningful change to their worldview.

How can he not see that the landscape is completely different from 2017? There is no one inside this administration saying, "you can't do that!"
They spent 4 years seething that they were blocked by Republicans from doing what they wanted and they made sure that wasn't going to happen again.

They still don’t get it. He’s a bully. Showing him weakness, giving in, capitulating…its not a peace offering it’s an invitation for escalating the abuse.
