dazzled by the clearly one-sided hatred that Jeremy Strong has for Kieran Culkin. I just *know* in private, Jeremy Strong has called him "a clown"

this is so meaningless, but the "you can do anything" "I know" exchange from WICKED that they used in the trailers and in the Oscar montage is NOT IN THE MOVIE!!! They cut two different scenes together! The "I know" is from the middle of the dialogue part of Defying Gravity! trailer fraud!

seems like one of those "personal liberties" he's such a fan of would be letting writers write whatever opinions they want?

The right wing woman is not insincere in her politics, but she *is* tactical: she believes that sexual and reproductive service to right wing men will earn her their protection, affection, and material support. She is wrong.

My special "Comfort Beyond God's Foresight" is out on YouTube, for free, right now! Give it watch, I think you'll love it. Likes and comments are also so helpful. If you have a spare second, that would rule! www.youtube.com/watch?v=1L9l...

humbly submitting Will Forte as the most underrated SNL cast member

this is the Pope's not like us

for all of the talk about "leftist language policing," they're not the ones out here.... literally banning words 1984-style

every commercial for AI is like: "are you capable of checking the weather app on your phone on your own? yaa didn't think so :)))))"

Jenny Nicholson's four hour video about the star wars hotel should have been nominated for best documentary feature I'm not even kidding

WATCH ME TELL JOKE www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vb9M...

when the president of the united states says something, it feels like we shouldn't all have to be guessing whether he really means it or not

This is what I think of as a specific kind of ignorance that heavily affects young white guys who work in tech. It says “i don’t know about this, so I assume no one else does either.” It’s new to them, so it must be new to everybody!

Ian is the funniest person I have ever met in my entire life, watching this is giving a gift to yourself

A little ten minute preview from my new special "Comfort Beyond God's Foresight." If you like that, you can get the rest here: 800pgm.lnk.to/foresight www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vb9M...

getting the ick seeing the little walk he does turning around after bowling

A great thing about Mad Men is how people in the show acknowledge that Don and Betty Draper are insanely hot

I don't really understand what's happening in basketball right now but it makes me happy that everyone is so excited. I feel like a golden retriever at a wedding or something

An 'I Think You Should Leave' reference in Patricia Lockwood's latest for the LRB???? truly our finest living critic

the thing about this Luka trade is, we all have to agree it's very cute this multi-billion dollar industry does tradesies.

feels like a bad sign when real life looks like a B- political cartoon

ask RFK jr. about the chemicals in his fake tanner

"gulf of america" is such 5th grader funny shit, I can't believe it's real and we have to live through this

I love the slightly desperate ads for Better Man that completely hide the fact that the main character is portrayed as a CGI monkey and I love imagining someone going to see it and having no idea

No best score nomination for Challengers? terrible vibes, ill portents, an omen of things to come

"straight arm gesture" cool cool cool

Fittingly, the episode of Noble Blood out today is about Catherine Parr: a very smart, very patient woman doing her best to outlast an ego-driven maniac. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/n...

lol how is it an accident. how is that type of hand gesture even in your repertoire?

if your brain is also just in full terror-mode over nazi salute/climate policy reversal/WHO withdrawal/attacks on trans people/immigration cruelty and you need a break: I recommend the movie where Robbie Williams is a monkey.

sorry to nicole kidman but this is the real babygirl of the oscars season

having a newborn is NOT HARD! sleep when the baby sleeps. eat when the baby eats. shower when the baby showers. do the dishes when the baby does the dishes. wash the breast pumps when the baby washes the breast pumps. make your bed, exercise, cook meals etc when the baby does. EASY!

I'm so excited to start my reading in 2025 with Immortality by @danaschwartz.bsky.social sequel to the book "Anatomy: a love story", one of the most beautiful novels of love and female improvement in Medicine that I have read, if not the best. But look that cover, with a detailed brain included!🧠💜.

Holiday movie rec: Mrs. Harris Goes To Paris is a movie about a kind-hearted person with an english accent improving the lives of a cast of characters around them with their spirit of guileless generosity. It is a Paddington movie.

What I’ll be reading next: Immortality a love story, sequel to Anatomy a love story, which I thoroughly enjoyed, a dark and creepy delight by @danaschwartz.bsky.social Looking forward to cracking this open.

Going to frankenstein the perfect movie by cutting together just the Kate Winslet part of "The Holiday" and the Julia part of "Julie and Julia"
