Who could have guessed that Russia wouldn’t just demand to keep the territory it’s stolen, but for Ukraine to surrender even more of its land and people to Moscow? It’s outrageous, predictable, and leaves little room for Ukraine to negotiate. It leaves much room for Trump to pressure Russia.

This isn’t getting nearly enough attention. Estonian navy is stopped at intercepting a shadow fleet vessel because a Russian Sukhoi Su-35 violated Estonian air space. This reduces even the implausible deniability to 0, which Russia has been relying on with the shadow fleet.
