In America, it’s hard to find anyone who DOESN’T think wealth is the only goal. That wasn’t always the case, but it sure seems to be now. When canvassing for Harris, I met a man in West Philly committed to voting for Trump. Why? He told me, “Trump is going to make me rich.”

It’s almost comical how some leaders (business and gov’t execs, University administrators) try to appease Trump to avoid being targeted, when it’s so obvious that his grievance is all-consuming. The ONLY response to Trumps is to stay true to one’s values.

When an American president derides his predecessors and praises an adversary, you know he’s lost the plot. Lindsay Graham once said that electing Trump would destroy the GOP, he was right. Trump destroyed the party’s moral compass. The party of John McCain is now pro-Russia.

Many administrations will comply with Trump administrative directives - scrubbing references to DEI, cutting programs and research lines - but they will get their funding revoked just the same. The point is not to change universities with a threat to degrade them, it's to degrade them regardless.

The only people responsible for Trump being president are the people who voted for him. They either couldn’t be bothered to read the candidates stood for, or wanted what Trump will bring: economic chaos, massive US debt, climate catastrophe, more wealth inequity, and surrender of democracy abroad.

Love them! But they don’t meet ADA requirements. The folks behind the renovation at 30th Street Station may remount the old flip board in the secondary waiting room. I hope so!

…and, really, no one eating fast food should expect anything healthy or high-quality.
