Now that China is cutting off the flow of electronic gadgets, America’s teenage girls can finally get off of their screens and focus on what matters: being pregnant. by J.D. Vance

for the people in the driver's seat of the right wing cultural movement, an end to "DEI" always meant doing things like sending free money to a white lady who called a child the n word. sorry if you thought it was about a slightly annoying HR webinar you once had to watch or whatever.

Ironically, this is Big Pharma's wet dream. Rather than a preventative vaccine that costs a few dollars a dose twice a lifetime, they can sell expensive new in-patent drugs for hundreds a dose that you need to keep taking.

American needs more white conservative children. That’s why we are closing hospitals in predominantly white conservative parts of the country and having HHS give dangerous medical advice that only white conservatives are stupid enough to believe.

Yes. We keep writing headlines that assign powers to the president that he does not have.

THE entire NIOSH engineering group has been fired among most ALL of NIOSH. It is devastating. www.cbsnews.com/news/worker-...

With more school shootings, measles deaths, and deportations on the way, Americans will need to have more babies to keep the population from declining.

Politicians across the country are looting from us to give even more funding to cops. They say we can’t afford to invest in more housing, health care, food, or infrastructure in our communities—but cops get raises and more tech and weapons to punish, harm, and kill us.

every gender transition is a statement in favor of human possibility and freedom and i’m tired of hearing it talked about like it’s some kind of disease

your child will toil valiantly in the factory. it will be masculine. it will restore our national character. it will make america great again. oh my child? my child will run a lucrative rightwing podcast

Apparently 1-in-3 Americans would have suffered fentanyl-related deaths in the last 100 days (from each taking one fifth of a pill) if not for the Attorney General's innumeracy.

A couple weeks ago, I wrote that the MAHA movement does not want to eliminate chronic illness- it wants to eliminate the chronically ill. Since then, RFK Jr’s actions and statements have only reinforced my belief that his HHS will target disabled and sick ppl. www.thegauntlet.news/p/rfk-jrs-ma...

We made a deliberate choice as a nation, until now, not to have a police state. We siloed off federal data and put in place laws, regulations, policies and internal norms to prevent the federal government from putting together everything it knows about you into one place. Trump is ending all that.

One of many moments in Omar El Akkad’s new book, “One Day, Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This,” that will stop you in your tracks.

The far right has never needed to be popular to take power What they need is the collusion of mainstream elite who prefer risking them gaining power than other radical alternatives be considered The "popularity" of reactionary politics is a top-down construction we must push against

Can confirm: Just spoke to him, and Barber and two others were, in fact, arrested. Story coming.

Defund the police was a bad slogan, which is why it took massive expenditures of political and financial capital along with the deployment of widespread state violence to suppress it, and also why everyone knows it and we're still talking about it five years later

"Abolish ICE" and "defund the police" are both reasonable and correct on the merits but were absolutely neutered by centrists smearing them as radical activist overreach.

The women’s health initiative has followed tens of thousands of women for more than 30 years and provided invaluable information on topics like hormone replacement and cancer. Jay Bhattacharya cutting this program will not only hurt women, it’s also just a colossal waste to lose such an investment.

"Some officials say U.S. citizens who criticize administration policies could be charged with crimes" I always wondered how mainstream journalism would cover an impending dictatorship here. Now we know.

NEW: Mahmoud Khalil's wife gave birth to their child without him after ICE denied their request to let him be present. “This was a purposeful decision by ICE to make me, Mahmoud, and our son suffer,” Dr. Abdalla said. “My son and I should not be navigating his first days on earth without Mahmoud."

I'm starting to embrace the loser mindset. 100% failmaxxing. Dudpilled flopcore. Entering my fizzle era. Girl it's giving last place.

"The Stranger's Case," William Shakespeare Sir Thomas Moore: Act II Scene 4 ___ Imagine that you see the wretched strangers, Their babies at their backs and their poor luggage, Plodding to the ports and costs for transportation ...

The goal is not removing one person from the country without cause or due process. The goal is creating a SYSTEM whereby anyone can be removed from the country without cause or due process. This is their test case and they know they'll probably only get one.

you know what would drop the number of assaults of ICE agents to zero? abolishing ICE.

We all need to dedicate the rest of our lives to destroying the republican party

If you got kidnapped and your senator wouldn’t fly to El Salvador and personally get proof of life for you, time for a new senator that would

as we keep getting reports like this, it's still unclear how many Americans are affected because DHS has not provided numbers on citizens detained by immigration authorities and isn't answering Congressional inquiries about them www.propublica.org/article/more...

Connecticut will not comply with demands to end diversity, equity and inclusion practices in its K-12 schools. The decision will likely put the state in a standoff with the Trump administration, which has threatened to pull federal funding over the issue.

Jonathan Swan, of the NYT, asks Ms Leavitt (all paraphrased) "The President said that it was a terrible abuse of power for the prior Admin to prosecute him. How is it not then an abuse of power when he directed his own DOJ to investigate two people he doesn't like?" Leavitt: "That's his policy."

One of hundreds of people abducted by ICE and sold to slavery in El Salvador was a 19 year old with no criminal record in the US or Venezuela and no tattoos of any kind. An ICE kidnapper who grabbed him outside his house said, "He's not the one." The other said, "Take him anyway." So they did.

Grabbed at his appointment to become a citizen. Is this who we are? 😕🇺🇸

Criminals deserve due process because due process is literally how we determine whether someone is, *in fact*, a criminal

1/4. On the White House’s theory, if they abduct you, get you on a helicopter, get to international waters, shoot you in the head, and drop your corpse into the ocean, that is legal, because it is the conduct of foreign affairs.

One thing I wish people understood about authoritarianism is life often looks more or less the same. Troops aren’t marching down the street every day; people go to restaurants, have their office jobs. But everyone knows that stepping out of line, even slightly, can derail your life with no recourse

"the state can just summarily imprison someone without filing charges or holding a trial" doesn't just overturn democracy it overturns 1000 years of common law, like throwing out the entire legal system entirely and saying all people in America are the state's property.

"What emerges is a more intimate picture of Öztürk and how a child development researcher charged with no crime ended up in a crowded cell in Louisiana." www.propublica.org/article/rume...

There is in fact no way to make a case for a moral or political obligation to have children that does not degrade the status and dignity of women by claiming ownership their bodies as instruments for collective use.

In any functioning democracy the elimination of an extant department that protects children from lead poisoning would be a game ender for the entire administration under which it occurred. I’ll expect a strong statement from Chuck Schumer and some fundraising texts.

One of the sources of rot running through our political, intellectual, and media institutions is the total triumph of the idea that democracy means outsourcing your morality and point of view to a fuzzily incoherent view of what's popular. Total rejection of the idea of morality as personal virtue.

NEW: Rümeysa Öztürk says she's had 4 painful asthma attacks in ICE custody, and not only is her asthma going untreated but a nurse tore off her hijab, saying, "You need to take that thing off your head." www.aclum.org/sites/defaul...

it's not looking good folks

“The head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement said he would like the agency to implement a system of trucks that rounds up immigrants for deportation in a system similar to how Amazon delivers packages around the US.”

This will absolutely kill people. The decimation of USAID, the gutting of CDC, NIH and now he’s about to create drug shortages.

SCOTUS has literally just ruled that, when the govt illegally sends a U.S. citizen to a torture prison in El Salvador, where they are totally incommunicado, that person must somehow petition the court for relief How? When the admin ignored habeas corpus in the 1st place, is that a viable option?

SCOTUS right now.

There’s a lesson here for every Big Law firm, university and media company if they care to learn it.

Boycotting the grocery store until they start buying an equivalent volume of groceries from me

60 Minutes found no criminal record for 75% of the Venezuelan migrants the U.S. sent to a mega-prison in El Salvador www.cbsnews.com/news/venezue...
