She must be joking about Mark Twain.

Despite obvious faults, I prefer Vance to Trump.
If Vance is bad, too, then we could remove him, too. Let's get good at removing bad Presidents.
Take a Chance on Vance.

I think that Miller & Trump repeatedly call immigration an "invasion" & an "emergency" with the objective of repeating this fallacy often enough that the rest of us will believe it.

In this article, I find numerous allegations that some new election law impedes gathering signatures to petition for inclusion of proposed new laws on the ballot. But I find no explicit description of the new impediments. I confess I quit reading when it seemed omitted from the article.

Let's see...
s = number of GOP calling in sick
Number of Dems voting = 49
(100 - s) * (2/3) = 49
100 - s = 49 * (3/2)
100 = s + 75
s = 25
If half the GOP senators decide Trump makes them sick, they could remove the impeached president.

I wish he'd spend 100% of his presidency golfing even for a few more of those dimes. He seems less dangerous when he's golfing.

Either he doesn’t know about it or he's looking for a payoff.

I disagree. I see probability not less than 50% that Vance would be a better President than Trump. We should take that chance. If Vance turns out worse (hard to imagine), then we should impeach him, too, and remove him. It will be easier the second time. Let's get used to removing bad Presidents.

Constitution, Art 2, Sec 3 www.archives.gov/founding-doc... says 2/3 of the Senate members attending must convict the impeached president to remove him from office. Now if some GOP could be persuaded to call in sick... ?

The OnePct & the companies they own have excessive political power in the USA. I don't mean to suggest they did anything bad. Our current ecoʻnomic system maintains an extreme inequality of incomes.

Not even hiding the blatant corruption. When Hillary accused Trump of not paying taxes, his response was, "It's called being smart." Power in Trump's world is expressed as corruption without consequence.

We're out here stressing about the cost of a new phone, laptop, or even coffee and beer, and these billionaires are playing fuck-fuck games with the markets, snickering all the way to the bank.
Everyone needs to wake the hell up!
It's not Left vs. Right. It's the Oligarchs vs. We The People!

Somebody in the group chat added Goldberg to the chat. If Donald Jr. genuinely believes MAGAs couldn't trust Goldberg in the classified chat, then why did they add Goldberg to the chat? Donald Jr.'s enemy is one of the people in the chat before the enemy added Goldberg.

I've a half-formed hypothesis that GOP cultivates classifications of "enemies" (such as Dems) on which their followers can blame their troubles. Then GOP propagandizes their followers into rage against one or more enemies. The GOP can pretend progress by persecuting an enemy.

are there additional witnesses?
who is the person challenging the police and their masks?
what police agency do these "police" claim to represent?
can anyone identify the license plates on the cars?

Also, "extortionist" better describes Mr. Trump than "transactional".

When we buy lumber from Canadian producers, we don't buy it because we need it, but because we want it. Generally, we want it because it's cheaper than comparable grades available from USA suppliers.
But none of this has relevance to what Mr. Trump has in mind.

To what extent, Dr. Tribe, does this freezing of aid constitute bribery, in your opinion?
