I'm a speculative fiction author. The fortune cookie said I have a charming way with words. I don’t sing. That’s the other guy. Available Now: 1500 Science Fiction Writing Prompts https://www.amazon.com/1500-Science-Fiction-Writing-Prompts/dp/B0F2HVH5VS

Imagine living in a world where the *LAPD* is a voice of reason.

Am I the weird one? I take care of my books. Always have. People on eBay are offering $20 paperbacks that look like they've been run through a dishwasher. Sure, they're out of print, but still. Condition matters.

Fantastic Four tickets are on sale, but I can't order them until I talk to my kids. DON'T ANYONE BUY TICKETS UNTIL I DO, OKAY? #FF #MCU #SERIOUSLY #THEYJUSTSLEEPLATE

Just finished up Dragons of Eternity, and it was delightful. Like I said before, wibbly wobbly, timey wimey stuff was headache-inducing, but as with all time travel stories, you just have to roll with it. I do wish Margaret and Tracy were here instead of on X, so I could thank them. #Dragonlance

Finally getting around to the latest Dragonlance book (Dragons of Eternity). The time travel logic hurts my brain just as much as it does the characters', but it's hitting that sweet Dragonlance nostalgia joy in all the best ways. Halfway in, half to go.

Heavy Metal is the first of many music genres I have planned. I wanted to start with this one because I have the most experience with it and writing the list wouldn't be as difficult as doing, say, jazz—which I like well enough, but know too little about. danielmclark.com/wsa-book/hea...

My wife and I would often end our date nights wandering through a bookstore, back when they all closed at 11. These days, you're lucky to find one around here open past 8.

June 1st. Anything going on this month I should know about? Oh, right…!

Christ, I’m dying over here 😂

There's no downside to the Oxford comma. Bring it.

The phone menu at my psychiatrist’s office is touting a new treatment. I swear to god, the recording said it was called PMS. A full minute later, it was explained as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. TMS. Not PMS. That makes way more sense.

Why, yes, you ARE the one person I want to ignore my No Soliciting sign. HOW DID YOU KNOW? Back on your stupid Segway before I give YOU a fucking pest to control. (I was nice to him, but my god did he not take no for an answer.)

That's one thing I miss about older comics - like, Golden/Silver Age and the post-Crisis years primarily. Comics weren't made for 6-issue trades, and anyone could jump in with any issue because the text always made it clear what was going on and who was who.

Slightly Ruin a Song Title: "Pharma Chameleon"

I love that Mayer is burning up the charts, so to speak. The kid deserves it, and I'm just a *little* bitter that he wasn't brought up sooner.

My kid got his first speeding ticket, and me being me, what do I notice? There are three typos. Not misspellings by the officer, but on the actual form itself. And the words matter so much that I wonder if a lawyer couldn't just get all the tickets issued with this form thrown out lol

I filled a book with 1,440 words and short phrases about ice cream. I think I need to lay down and wait for the sugar rush to pass. I like how the swirl in the graphic ended up looking a bit like soft serve. danielmclark.com/wsa-book/ice...

I think @gailsimone.bsky.social must've stopped by the @britannica.com offices this morning.

Good morning to everyone except those who refer to the Oxford comma as "unnecessary".

The second book I wrote, after Affiliate Marketing, which I wrote more as a joke than anything else. Turns out, this is a lot of fun, so I kept going with new themes! This is one of my favorite covers, too. danielmclark.com/wsa-book/inf...

Just saw Randy Feltface perform, and you know what? I’m convinced. BLAME BANANAS.
