I'm a speculative fiction author.
The fortune cookie said I have a charming way with words.
I don’t sing. That’s the other guy.

I like to think he goes to Vegas every now and then to stock up on casino-used cards.

I mean, I'm glad his whole summer isn't ruined. Still, I can't help but wonder about the efficacy of Texas's version of summer school.

The trailers haven’t told us the name of the film. You’re not gonna pull a Thunderbolts on us and reveal it’s actually called “New Justice Gang” are you?

My Samsung fridge - which wasn’t cheap - has a faulty ice maker less than 2 years after purchase. It constantly freezes over and we have to take a hair dryer to it. I later learned that oh yeah, it’s a known problem. People just have to deal with it.

What if you offer to spin them a yarn?

Is it weird that I like the 3-panel preview Bluesky shows just a hair better than the full strip?

BS. I live in a suburb of Houston, and there are literally, LITERALLY, tens of thousands of migrants walking up and down my street every morning. They're all singing songs in a weirdo language that's NOT ENGLISH and trying to eat the neighborhood cats. The immigrant invasion is totally real.

Correct. That was Superman's Pal, Perry White.

Tori Amos has covered dozens and dozens of songs over the years, and that was one of them. Stripping it down gives it a whole new vibe.

I'm a sucker for covers outside the original genres. This is a good one I came across recently. I don't know about "second best," but it's quite good.

The guys in the booth tonight verified that Marcelo got that ball back and that he's going to give it to his dad. That's great!

I don't know... I mean... we could skip leg day at the gym, right? Sit on the bowl, get swol? Isn't that how the saying goes?

It’s only a matter of time before they kill a protester and I’m honestly terrified thinking about what comes after that.

Looks like the crowd was trying to tell whoever got the ball to throw it back. Do we know if Marcelo will get the ball?

I had a character undergo a ritual stabbing, and I consulted my wife, a nurse, to determine exactly where on his upper body I could impale him with a big ol' spike lol
Turns out there's a pretty good spot that'll miss all the important stuff.

I’m animated in the Hanna-Barbera Super Friends style, no question.

Friendlys... aw, I remember Friendlys. Grew up in New England, and I have fond memories of that place.
Happy Pride.

Interesting. There's an Amazon distribution center near me that Amazon built but then never opened. Its parking lot is currently jammed up with cybertrucks. I wonder if it's the same thing as in W. Bloomfield - I can't think of anything else that makes sense.

Who was it who said that every comic could be someone's first? Jim Shooter? Stan Lee? Someone back then made the point that readers shouldn't have to know extensive backstory to get into comics.
