Or FM Static, Trevor’s pop band, or I Am the Storm, Trevor’s solo rap project, or Hawk Nelson, who Trevor discovered and promoted.

I think the headline says a lot more about what’s considered extremist in the evangelical Christian circles he was in than it does about his political extremism.

UHC and the Huntsville Hospital system just went through this. They eventually reached a deal but not before stressing a ton of people out. HH basically has a monopoly in north Alabama.

When I was a homeschooled seventh grader my church’s youth group went on a Beach Retreat™️ to PCB. One day we made an excursion to Alvin’s Island. My poor sheltered brain about melted when I saw the wall of t-shirts with sexual references and the candy underwear.

I personally don’t want to mentally associate him with tacos. Tacos are far too great of a food to inflict that cursed association upon them.

My partner studied abroad in NZ and that matches their description of NZ’s attitude towards allergies.

The way I’m reading it, he had already finished ruining Discovery pre-merge and he put in awful leadership at CNN post-merger, so now with Discovery/CNN/etc split off he’ll be able to give his undivided attention to finishing up ruining HBO and WB movies.

Yes, except Zaslav will now be in charge of the HBO/WB side and not the cable side.

But this hurts. The cost of abuse and coverups and lies are all too real. I hope that they have saved others from what they suffered through.

I really don’t know how to say how thankful I am for you and your fellow reporters who have reported on the abuse, and how in awe I am of the bravery Duane, Jen and all the other people who have stepped forward have shown.

Oh man, this hurts. I guess it’s fitting that I learned of their deaths from you, since you brought their lives to me in the first place. As a former Southern Baptist, your writings have deeply affected me over the years.

Perhaps the UI/UX on whatever interface controls the laser could use improvement?
(I work on SCADA systems and I’ve seen a lot of bad ones that could lead to injury.)

You’d think, but Harry has nothing on what fanfic authors do to Draco. (In this case, Draco goes on an anti-hero redemption arc and looks amazing in leather pants.)

Didn’t she start (or maybe just popularize) the Draco in Leather Pants trope?

I 100% agree. Learning the limitations of your gear and then learning to work within those limitations makes photography more satisfying and you a better photographer.

Ooof, then yeah, the scene’s dynamic range was just too much for the camera sensor.

Your best bet in that lighting is to find an angle that doesn’t have the sky in the background. (Easier said than done, I know.)

(I think the SX70 has an exposure compensation control that you can access with the down button and the control dial.)
In portrait photography, you could use a flash or reflector to brighten the subject when they’re backlit, but that’s not really an option for wildlife.
comment in response to

Unfortunately that’s just a tough situation to shoot. You kinda have to decide whether the sky or the bird should be properly exposed. On this shot, I think you could have lowered the exposure a bit and gotten a better balance, but the sky would have probably still been blown out.

They’re getting there! It’s a journey, as always. And yeah, the misdiagnoses along the way (especially depression instead of bipolar 2) made for a bad time.

Oh dang, your journey matches my partner’s experiences so so closely. Bipolar 2 and ADHD are a helluva combo.

It’s a southern/Appalachian food. It’s like collard greens or turnip greens, but made with pokeweed leaves and shoots. Pokeweed just so happens to be poisonous, so the plants need to be picked when small and boiled three times, using different water each time.

As I kid I got pretty hung up on what was up with the Scrubbs “special underwear” in VotDT (but couldn’t ask anyone about it being homeschooled and Southern Baptist).
Puddleglum’s speech is the main thing I remember from The Silver Chair. It was on my a lot mind as I examined my beliefs too.
