This makes me so angry; a cyclist near Ghent, Belgium was killed in an accident by men who 1) was drunk, 2) was driving without a licence, 3) having had previous convictions for similar offences, and 4) who fled the scene of the accident, was RELEASED ONE DAY after the accident.

So it is not only about only replacing carbon-based electricity generation; it is multiplying the electricity generation.
This needs investments in non-carbon infrastructure, including sun, solar, hydro, nuclear, geothermal, storage, clever distribution networks, synthetic fuels, H2, etc.
