…with Musk. If no, then they must both think they elevated the other to a position they don’t deserve, which would mean that they at the very least don’t respect and at worst hold contempt for the other. If the stakes weren’t so high I’d say I’ll be watching this with interest. Dangerous times.

…which makes me wonder if the reverse dynamic is not in effect in the Trump – Musk dynamic. If so one wonders to what extent Trump admits that to himself. I cannot imagine Musk feels like he’s been elevated by Trump but must the reverse be true? If yes, then Trump will never “tire of” or fall out…

…would never have achieved this elevation on their own steam. They know they don’t have a better alternative so they are grateful from fear of being dropped again. This binds them and reinforces the power of the one who raised them up. Trump would never raise up someone who doesn’t need him…

I see your point, but I am definitely ending my friendship with people who will not vaccinate themselves or their children, unless there is some medical (not religious or political) reason why they won't. I don't feel the ethical need to reach across the aisle to their viruses.

There is no acceptable middle ground, no compromise, no happy medium, no common ground between fascism and democracy, and anyone who peddles this lie is either seriously deluded or a collaborator who has their own reasons for wanting us all to move towards fascism.
