Can't really see the difference, but I've polished the frets and body. Adjusted the truss rod and lowered the action, raised the pickup. Its so easy to play fast. The tone is superb. There's this powerful mid response, I don't need the EQ pedal I use with everything else.

Oh that's a great idea about scratching the wood grain in! I was just going to sand it flat and hope for the best. Thank you!

I decided on J pickups for the new build, which left me with the issue of filling this hole routed out for a Musicman humbucker. Using the old J pickup as a placeholder, I've carefully filled the cavity with wood filler. Best I can hope for is the end result isn't hideous...

Oh, is that how you avoid AI in your search results? That's pretty funny 😂

Remember that meme of "Googled [weird thing], was not disappointed". Yeah, genAI ruined that too.

Stumbled across these on eBay (£16 instead of £75). I didn't like these tuners back when I was first building it, but now I own some Fenders, my taste has changed.

Still a long way to go but it's looking good. Made some decisions about parts today, and made a plan to re-fill the bridge pickup cavity.

Polished from 120 to 3000 grit today and it's looking superb. Not cosmetically perfect, but it should play great.

Holy heck I almost forgot about this album. The Air That I Breathe goes hard

Started the fine sanding but ran out of time. May have gone a little too hard with the 60 grit, leaving these deep white marks. I might need to dig a little deeper, but I should be able to get it out.

Came across a stall promoting HS2 once, the main message was "regular train tickets will be cheaper!". So it's not even for us, it's just another luxury for the rich.

It was a pretty confident move now I think about it. That guy did not have imposter syndrome and neither should you!

My stepson introduced me to the concept of "Dad Death Metal". The genre has been around so long that most of the fans have kids now (Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, Carcass)
I love Dad Death Metal ðŸ˜

Little shit survived all day out of sheer spite. Had to euthanise him so he's received a proper send off tonight.

I'm looking for more guitars to restore and sell on, so if you have anything you want rid of, let me know!

OneNote... I may have oversold the database part. Its more of a list. I could make an SQL database but no one in my family would know how to access it 🤔

I have a database of my import vinyl so my family can sell them if I die. Yesterday I made a scale model of my office so I could see if it was feasible to move my desk. Next I'm considering writing a list of my own money-saving tricks.

That's more like it. Blurry, edge of screen, moody cinematic Stormtrooper crotch. Perfect.

Filed off the edges and levelled it out with 40 grit on the sanding mouse. Its almost flat already.

Oh neat. I grew up watching shows set in NY but I don't think I'd like to go there. But I'd like to see Madison Square Garden and 30 Rock.

Resting place for the next 3 days at least while it cures. Had a leak, but otherwise the drying process went well.

HD streaming on YouTube at EU friendly times. No restrictions, no enormous paywall. Its great. My only criticism is the team branding isn't superb. But team identities will naturally improve over time.
