My cat Grace has been gone for a few years now but I swear I still catch a glimpse of her raised tail as she glides around the couch headed for the stairs. Makes me smile every time.

Didn’t say it was difficult to understand; I said it was poorly written.

I just commented that the book was poorly written, poorly edited, and a waste of money. How is that indecent?

Ya know I meant to write months but you seem to enjoy being an asshole too. Fuck off now and do some better writing.

Just like the filler in your half-book - repeat, repeat, repeat.

Try taking a writing course, pal.

You could try being more of a writer.

Half price is still too much for this thin title. Repetitive and under edited, the book is nothing more than a history magazine article. Save your pennies.

I cannot read histories on e-reader but find reading novels to be fine. Audio books are also fine with me.

I spent 31 years commuting into Manhattan by express bus and have always been fascinated by Newtown Creek and environs. Thanks for posting.

I’m among the elect and would read and enjoy the Goodman book. After reading, it would live on a shelf with the Fred Neil biography.

Check even if written in stone. The NYS Court House in NYC has a misquote of G Washington on its pediment. In stone the quote begins, “the true administration of Justice is the firmest…” I have seen the quote in a GW letter & he wrote “due administration”.

I was a junior in high school in Brooklyn, watching a pre-season basketball game, a long way from home in Queens. A basketball player friend and I made it home using a number of busses, which amazingly did not stop running. Glad I wasn’t on the subway!

Mostly not WWII vets, who are either dead or extremely old. My grandparents were born in the 1880’s & my WWII dad was born in 1920.I have Vietnam Nam vet friends in their very late 70’s. Anyone can be a fascist, friend.

I miss interacting with certain folks who haven’t moved over to BS or threads but to go back would be like an alcoholic going to the bar because there was some good discussions happening there.
