From today, getting shit done with @drewster99.bsky.social

I think “timeline tweaks” are a deep dark hole one can get lost in for decades. With revisions today I feel happy with the timeline presentation. It’s time to move on to other things.

The quote of the day is: “We just need more booleans”. -A Benson

Sitting down with @drewster99.bsky.social for morning coffee and coding.

A few morning design tweaks before taking my mom out to lunch.

Shoutout to Canada! 🇨🇦 My lovely and always friendly neighbor to the north. Someone there became a Founder yesterday. Meaning they subscribed to the app… At this early stage Founders really help cover server costs and it tells me The Midst provides something of value. Thank you!

@danijelavrzan.com I can’t DM pictures so this will be a live bug report. I set my weight values to Imperial and my weight shows up correctly as such, but when I want to update my weight it asks for kg not lbs.

Back home! Well…most of the way. 📍Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport Saint Paul, MN

One of the things I check for in my app is how often do I need to go back to using Bluesky directly? The Midst is intended to be a standalone app, but a social one. The ability to post pictures and follow reply threads are probably the two biggest hang ups.

On the ground less than hour in Seattle. Let’s see how much work I can get done on the plane for my ride home. 💻

Congratulations on shipping @danijelavrzan.com! apps.apple.com/us/app/nunch...

Early bird catches the early flight home. IAH -> SEA -> MSP

Hot and humid in Houston but I’m happy to have a new beta out for testing bringing the simple luxury of “replies” to the Bluesky feed. 📍Houston Airport Marriott at George Bush Intercontinental Houston, TX

Replying to a reply has me a little perplexed. A post has a root and a parent. Which can be the same if replying to the OG post. But if replying to a reply, you’re replying to the “parent” but the parent has a root. I think I have that right.

It’s a go-to spot in San Diego. 📍Ballast Point San Diego, CA

Catching up on some news letters with a Turkish Coffee. 📍Lofty Coffee San Diego, CA

Slowest Starbucks in the nation, but still coffee. 📍Starbucks SeaTac, WA

It’s been a “bug fixes and performance improvements” kind of day. Also just code organization.

I have almost no signal on this side of the hotel. Very strange

Already found a bug my new reply feature. Failure to reply to a reply, I thought I had that covered but nope. That’ll have to wait till tomorrow because I have an early flight in the morning. Goodnight New Jersey! 🌒
