There's two of those Canlags out there, I've very occasionally seen them at the same time. Always assumed they were from the same brood.

I've never seen anything buy manky pigeons along that stretch!

This one really quite well fed even without the fluffing.

Well, they contain a high level of nonsense then!

For the Botanics, the birdplaces list is suspiciously identical to ebirds "likely species based on 358 records in a 20km by 20km area" which the ebird app defaults to. As birdplaces is user generated content, maybe if the author don't provide a list it defaults to ebird?

I suspect it's pulling sightings from ebird for a generous radius around each site. e.g. Edinburgh Botanical Gardens shows every bird you could possibly find in Edinburgh City. Also includes Mute Swan as top 5 which the gardeners don't tolerate due to their appetite for ornamental water plants.

I was just reflecting on the first photo I took of a Great Tit. You couldn't in fact see a bird in it.

This one just along at Wardie Bay and flew off that way, maybe they're still out there somewhere.

It's one of the middle class ones from Inverleith Park.

Just noticed you can see the reflection of the low winter sun setting behind a house in it's eye. I guess it was just waiting for the moment to pass.

I left it before it could change it's mind.

My difficult relationship with geese seems to be on hiatus.
