Specifically the lack of understanding/appreciation of tech. Things like file folder structure, hardware installation, meaningful cable management, etc. Tech’s been made, in many ways, too *easy* to use and there’s a lack of understanding fundamentals that’s causing problems.

The problem is just as much on our shit education system as it is in the students themselves, poor pay and little support for teachers means when they hit Shakespeare they’re not equipped to properly teach it unless they’re personally invested. And that hurts how much the kids engage with it.

Then a year or two later I had one of my favorite teachers who had us read it… then showed us a (dialogue accurate) film of it being performed. It changed everything for me. Not just reading his words but SEEING them performed, seeing the play as it was meant to be experienced.

I’m a Shakespeare nerd, just putting that out there. A lot of fault is in how it’s taught. My first exposure was a teacher who basically wanted us to sit down and read it like a book until we got it, and I’ll admit I struggled some both to understand and to engage with it.

Not letting anyone down! Build when you feel like it, take a break when you feel like it. No reason to force yourself to do something you’re not enjoying!

Yeah, V doesn’t have two games and a half dozen books building them up

The game gives you a lot of “what” you can do with V, and you the player can decide the “why” of a lot of it, using what they give you as a framework.

I say this knowing it’s not some people’s preference. But V is more of an insert character that gets more out of what you put into them and how you play. There’s dialogue options you can guide things how you want, and literally how you plan can define them.

The game does a pretty solid job of bringing you up to speed of the important stuff. It’s the third in a game series that are also a (very loose) follow up to a Polish novel series (worth reading btw) but the game gives you what you need to know and has a good lore encyclopedia (I think IIRC).

I disagree with the Cyberpunk slander but also love Witcher 3. They’re just very different games with different goals and design philosophies.

Fun fact this is actually stitched together from three different Digimon movies/OVAs

:( for what it’s worth it’s awesome you’re able to find enjoyment and joy in model building anyway! And decals are an aesthetic choice but aren’t ever really key to a kit’s looks. The builds you share all look incredible :)
