It's actually cheaper for the US to base soldiers in South Korea than stateside. Although the same is probably not true for Europe.

Seems that the low hanging fruit here would be a European force along the Belorussian border, relieving Ukrainian forces and discouraging any Russian offensive via Belarus?

Samanlaista lainsÀÀdÀntöÀ on tekeillÀ monessa osavaltiossa.

Most likely it's a fabrication, a safety valve to let off steam. An excuse to do nothing about Musk's excesses.

I guess the danger for USA is the same as what happened to UK after the idiocy of Brexit; the rest of Europe adapted and moved on. UK economy still struggling and politicians of major parties afraid to admit it.

Garry Kasparov writes about "flood not dam". In the Internet age it's not possible to fully block opinions. But they can be flooded with competing narratives until people are exhausted.
This is what X has perfected. And now it's also getting better at blocking.

Perhaps. But would Russia use a very high value LNG tanker for an operation where the ship may be seized or confiscated? A cheap bulker makes more sense.

The EU runs hundreds of immigrant return flights yearly. I'm sure our threats are made in private and not in public, but we do demand countries take their citizens back.
There will be open EU/US schisms soon enough, this is not the place to start.

He doesn't mention Ukraine with a word. This is exactly what Putin always wanted, a world where major powers make deals to decide the fate of smaller nations.

Garry Kasparov talks about "flood not dam" as Russia's disinfo tool of the digital age. You can't fully stop truths from being told, so you flood them with misinformation. X does exactly this. Citing "free speech" it floods every debate with competing narratives until the truth is blurred out.

Nixon was the best President ever on the environment. Not much lofty talk, but hard legislation that endured.

Luultavasti jo sunnuntaina Blue Origin laukaisee ensimmÀisen kerran New Glenn-raketin kiertoradalle.

Checked bags are loaded quickly by professionals. Carry-ons are loaded slowly by amateurs causing great stress to everyone. Carry-ons should cost more than checked luggage.
