I often intentionally drive through GFS and have never had one issue arise, but who would commute through a pinch point, by choice and then complain about it when he could drive stroads Portland or Park?

Scientists have often been trained to adopt value-free, politically nonpartisan positions in social controversies. (See Marcia McNutt's comments this morning.) But this posture is itself anti-scientific, when it enables the weaponization of purported scientific values. 13/

In my genetics lab this spring, in real time, I showed them how ChatGPT could almost entirely fabricate a CV for me. It gave me a degree fro Yale I don’t have and 6 fake publications. They were shocked!

I’m incredibly proud to have seen city council members and community leaders there making sure people were safe and helping folks who were injured. My fellow candidates for mayor were also there helping out, all of them except for our current mayor.

I also use folded maps (and Gazeteers) and atlases. GPS has rewired whole brains and maps provide useful stimulation so I'm going to stick with maps (and only use GPS if I'm in a golf course neighborhood where maps seem to be useless...at least while I was in Little Rock, AR recently).

We’re either in a crisis or we’re not. Voting for any Trump pick right now, rather than throwing everything they can in the machinery to gum up the works, proves Democrats don’t believe we’re in a crisis.

My first car was a Toyota Tercel two door in 1992. Manual 4-speed. manual everything. No radio. It would really wind up on the highway with no 5th or overdrive. Fun little car.

Wearing the flag as a garment is a violation of the US Flag Code. Surprised to see law enforcement defiling Old Glory by wearing it as a spit-rag gaiter.
