In the process of reading the entirety of Marvel continuity from Fantastic Four #1 (1961) onward. Now that I am up to 2016 I sometimes skeet about it.

You are a wonderful comics creator that has brought me no end of joy in the past year in my comics reading endeavours. You even managed to get me to appreciate Gambit, who I always disdained.

First, without a doubt.

They are bigoted, and they expect Avowed to bomb because of the pronouns. Games with pronoun options usually bomb, you know. Like BG3, that game that didn't even get any awards, or acclamation, or sales. Damn pronouns.

It does not use DnD rules, it uses its own rule system. The games are very good especially Deadfire, the sequel.

This has nothing to do with anything you wrote but I am currently reading Marauders and it's amazing. Just took the opportunity to let you know.

What about an unrequited love story with a dude at the Daily Planet called Pug?

@kellythompson.bsky.social @casagrande-e.bsky.social I swear I had no idea you had won the Eisner for this. I really did not know.

What an awesome panel.

The covers seem to be all by Steve McNiven and Mark Farmer, and they are great, but I would have preferred them to be done by @javierrodriguez.bsky.social and @bakadori.bsky.social. Just for the added consistency.

One final note for this first issue is that there is no mention of the Hyborian Age in it. I assume due to rights issues.

And it comes with annotations!

Probably my favourite page in the first issue. Just gorgeous composition, with masterful inking and colours.

I have a proper 12" tablet with a great screen but, still, reading this on MU doesn't quite cut it. Because of the poor zoom function I am unable to read the full page in landscape. In any case, this is already a series I will definitely want to buy the book. A huge edition, hopefully.

Gorgeous, filled with detail, yet perfectly clear to follow.

As expected, every page is a banger. Can't see Whoopi Goldberg, though.

Oh, I don't think I knew. What a shame.

I would say, easily, that Keown's art was much better than McFarlane's. McFarlane maybe felt more modern and flashier, I guess, but Keown was so much more competent.

Only the Lobdell issues? 😁

That is amazing, given that at the time, the Incredible Hulk and Davis' Excalibur were the best series Marvel was publishing, by far.

@kurtbusiek.bsky.social really becomes amazing at Marvel when he comes back back in the mid 90s. You ain't seen nothing yet.

Around that time the best Spidey run was DeMatteis and Sal, though.

The last good Green Day album was Nimrod. **ducks**

I actually really thought you meant exploding.

You should get some gross points out of whatever movies Thori shows up in. And the merchandise possibilities. A cute plushie that says murder murder when squeezed.

The duality of him being both a murderous hellhound and a very good doggo is just so great.

Going through The Faust Act, but even from just the start it's obvious you should be.

Wait, what counts as golden oldies these days? Are Led Zeppelin included? Metallica? Nirvana? Radiohead? Lauryn Hill? Arctic Monkeys?
