Wild how much India tends to dominate England in Cricket today (especially from a monetary and ‘power in world cricket’ pov), when you learn how much the concept of the Indians learning to play Cricket was seen by the Brits as a sign of their ‘success’.

I’m so tired of hearing Rubio & other rightwingers now claiming that if you’re on a green card you’re a ‘guest’ in this country. BS. You’re a lawful permanent resident. The clue is in the name. If someone is a permanent resident in your home, are they the same as the guests who come and go? Come on.

lol I just discovered that Google’s Gemini won’t tell you who won the 2020 election. To be fair, it didn’t tell me who won the 1800 election either. Either way, this erosion of trust in the concept of elections by a company we all assume to be an arbiter of facts of sorts is extremely dystopian.

Our elderly cat, Carly, passed away today. My therapist asked me to name one thing I’d miss most about her, and my first thought was that of her chirps of surprise when she realizes we’re around when she’s just woken up. RIP Big Carl. You were both a sweetheart, and force to reckon.

I see photos like this often. While I do think the US should have universal healthcare, is this data actually true? For instance, India has a mix of public (largely subsidized) and private healthcare. But only 37% of the population has access, which is important context.
