TBF, it appears the reasons are informed by the country's own assessments. Aside from some region-specific info, each caution has links to country govt sites rating the terror risk as 3/5.
The US DHS put up a new advisory yesterday so I expect our bureaucracy to catch up (last Cdn update was 17th).

I mean I suppose a transport could've picked them up last minute and dropped them off somewhere (Alderaan?).
But Dinsey can still cash in on the name without wrecking the series/movie. Cassian & Bix's kid.

It's probably not to revive the asbestos industry in QC. More of a Russia thing these days.
Or maybe they're thinking, to paraphrase a former Cdn politician, "mesothelioma is sexy"

I hadn't noticed the time gaps in the previous chart at first but this one is making sense when looking at the year. COVID was a thing.

A much as I hate to see Modi come (unless it's too account for that little extra-territorial assassination thing), we can't talk about diversification of markets away from both US & China without India. It's a huge market.

I don't think he understands what "projects in the national interest" is.
I may be wrong, but I don't think they would include projects limited to one municipality in a single province.

A sub-amendment of an amendment was approved but the amendment itself is still to be debated & voted on?

So small government conservatives need 74 (shadow) cabinet members.
They're so weak that they need to have multiple critics per minister?
Also, nothing screams "change" like having a bunch of familiar faces and barely any new members in these positions.
comment in response to

And he's complaining Carney has filled his cabinet with Trudeau ministers.
Setting aside how 74! ppl in (shadow) cabinet seems insane and misaligning with small govt conservative ideas, the fact that the % of new faces is miniscule, as compared to Carney's cabinet, doesn't really scream "Change!"

Are they going to run a candidate in the Battle River–Crowfoot byelection?

For sure. They've been scoring practically much higher than ever before. If it weren't for the other team scoring more and Bettman distracting the fans, they'd be champions.

Minister of Labour and Families with an SoS for Jobs? Maybe.
I have trouble seeing a big difference (or a big problem) especially since SoS is a priority focus where Mins are broad based with many priorities.
comment in response to
post
I'm a bit surprised the article doesn't mention that there's a Secretary of State for Labour who will be connected with a Minister (Jobs). SoS are supposed to bring extra focus on their file as a government priority.
That being said a full Minister for AI & Digital Innovation seems a bit much.

Why are they sticking with this kind of anti-democratic messaging?
FFS, we're those stupid Liberal joke "Stop the Steal" button drops actually on point?
So much for soul searching and trying to moderate their message to draw in more (or repel fewer) voters.

Doesn't look like there was a western separatist candidate during the Battle River-Crowfoot race. Hopefully, we'll get strong federalist responses from Poilievre when he's questioned on it.
comment in response to

I'd be curious to know if they're "gaming out" a US/RUS backed Alberta separatist movement that leads into something similar to the Crimea situation.
It appears the US is starting something similar with Greenland but we're probably further along that pathway and so possibly a nearer term goal.

I don't know if I agree. Trump, while still looking the idea of Canada joining the US, he's gone from threatening to annex Canada through "economic force" to saying "it takes two to tango" which is a markedly softer tone.

To be fair, I think Trump was referring to Ford when talking about the Conservative who hated him more. He's been very visible in the Trumposphere not saying nice things. Poilievre was probably not even on Trump's radar.

Depends on the riding. If it's a current NDP riding or the main fight is NDP/CPC, then it's not a big deal (and probably recommended). If it's a 3-way or LPC/CPC then it might be a bit problematic.
Regardless, everyone has a right to vote for whomever they choose. Celebrate the act of voting.
