I’m a Terran and I care about the safety and livelihood of all other Terrans. Except mosquitoes. Mosquitoes can fuck off.

Join a DSA, Green, or PSL chapter; they're always organizing. Donate time and food to your local food pantry. Get in touch with the National Lawyers' Guild. Ask what your union is planning. Wear a mask. There's lots to do, so get to it.

And they'll be protesting when he's gone, too. It's time to stop talking and start listening. Stop expecting a superhero to come save you and start recognizing you're part of a greater whole and we're all in this together. Want to help? Donate to bail and abortion funds.

And that brings me back around to...
4. THE PROTESTS ARE ALREADY HAPPENING. Seriously. All over the country. Nobody is waiting for you. Activists and organizers have been on this since Day 1 of Trump’s presidency, because they were protesting long before Trump.

If you want peaceful protest, if you want civil disobedience, YOU make it possible. If you aren't willing to protect marginalized people risking their necks for protests, then please just shut up. Otherwise you're demanding other people take the risk for you as you watch with no skin in the game.

Keeping people out of jail keeps them housed and fed and with healthcare for their families. Of course, this is the part where I get told you don't want to support criminals. But that's copaganda talking. The Civil Rights movement was protesting LAWS. THE LAW CAN BE WRONG.

Legal support funds? Rent payment funds? Abortion clinics? Clinics providing gender affirming care and Healthcare to immigrants? WHERE ARE ALL THE DONATIONS?
If you want protests, great! So do I. Start donating. Open your pocket books. Find bail funds in your state and start donating.

If you get arrested, you can lose your job. If you lose your job, you lose your healthcare and your housing. So if you want people to take that risk, there have to be support structures available. That means, above all, MONEY.
So where are the donations to bail funds?

Then you'll say the protests were too much, that they're hurting their cause, that there should be crackdowns. And that brings me to...
3. Protesting in the US means risking your livelihood, your freedom, your healthcare, and your housing. Both last year and 2020 made that clear.

down on protests and a carceral state overcharging the protesters, NOW you want protests. But protests reflect the environment, and I have no doubt that you want protests until a single building is damaged or a single police officer is touched or a single commute is disrupted.

with little or no financial support and even less community support, just like protests in 2020. It's funny: protests are considered a nuisance, something to be broken and dealt with harshly, until they're for something you care about. Then, after you support a militarized police force cracking

2. Aren't you the same people who wanted crackdowns on the antigenocide protests last year because they were disruptive?
You got your wish. There were police raids and SWAT teams and felony prosecutions. Many protesters are still dealing with the fallout,

Seriously. Just because they're not in your social media feed doesn't mean they aren't happening. Organizers and activists don't always broadcast their plans on social media for obvious reasons.
Protests against ICE and deportations are happening.

Protests against racism and rollbacks of DEI are happening. Protests for trans rights are happening. Protests against this administration are happening. Protests for Palestine never stopped. If you aren't seeing them, it's either because you don't want to see them or you don't know where to look.

Can you even use TikTok or IG without camera/photo/mic access?
Once that permission is granted for “typical use,” what’s the limit on the background data they glean?

For me, it’s more about surreptitious app access to any location, movement, mic/camera functions. I know servers log every keystroke/tap/click I make when I’m logged into the site despite the ip masking.
