The first three I do kinda get why they made the movies, since at least that way they wouldn't have been a total loss? Even if none of the movies are particularly good. Though I have a soft spot for Cinderella 2.

And I mean, they're good episodes, but can't help but wonder why they didn't just have them, and the framing device all just...be in the show? I feel like you could do an episode about Tarzan and Jane's anniversary.

If I remember correctly, while Stitch! was basically a pilot for the show, Tarzan and Jane was just a collection of episodes for the already made series that, at the time, hadn't aired on TV?

She doesn't want to admit it, but deep down, she misses her brother, too.

I feel like we'll most likely get something in between, where we'll SEE their proper disguises/human forms once, but they'll ultimately decide to stick to their usual costumes. Or at least Blitzo will.

I've honestly theorized that most demons are capable of creating their own disguises; most just don't bother to learn because the majority of them never go to Earth, and the Asmodean Crystal just makes it easier/quicker.

I do think the whole thing with the arrangement comes across as a little dubcon, in part because of the circumstances surrounding when it was made, but the show does address it and acknowledge that it was wrong, so I still wouldn't think it's fair to use it against Stolitz

What I don't get is why they do this most quickly with characters who make no sense as horror monsters? Like, I'll be honest, while I wouldn't watch them, I can at least see how someone could see the potential in horror Peter Pan or Pinocchio. Not Popeye or Winnie-the-Pooh

I would LOVE to get official timelines. We get some hints of the timeline in Helluva Boss, but not a ton.

I feel like that's what makes a good live action adapation for Disney? When the movies feel like they're taking inspiration from the original, but still feel like their own thing? That's why Maleficent, Cinderella, and Jungle Book are the ones that work the best to most people?

Yeah it’s more or less a new story with a few elements from Sleeping Beauty. And Cinderella 2015 feels more like just a new adaptation of the fairy tale than a direct remake of the animated version? Most similarities are things from any Cinderella story.

Sorry, Stolas, but you can't compete with Blitzo's true soulmate.

Thank you for saying this. The child actors in the series really are the only ones who I will not accept any hate towards. Even as they get older since they're likely under contract and won't be able to leave until the show is done, or at least until said contracts run out.

That's always been one thing about Blitz that hasn't changed- and that's his devotion to his daughter.

And Lilo and Stitch remake has the benefit of being so new, so more families will be drawn to it just because it's not something they've seen already.

Awww, thank you! I just wish I remembered to actually post on here more often....

Initially followed because I really liked your writing and wanted to get potential updates and behind the scenes stuff. Now I primarily follow because you're my friend and I just like seeing what you post.

No, I agree that likely had a big impact on the sales. A holiday weekend release is already going to help boost things, and the weather being bad meant families needed something to do that was indoors, and pretty sure Lilo and Stitch remake is the only "family" picture in theaters right now?

I feel like Beauty and the Beast is kind of the most...average of the remakes? Like on it's own, there's not a lot that really super BAD about it, but it doesn't hold a candle to the original, which is also a lot of people's favorite so it's seen as even worse by comparison.
comment in response to post
I will admittedly defend SOME of the remakes, though in most cases of that just being the sense that I personally enjoy them. And even then, the number of ones I like is like 5? Maybe 6 or 7 if you include the Maleficent sequel and Pete's Dragon.

Of course, this is also assuming this is the norm for Hellhound Foundations, and Blitzo didn't just go to a particularly shady one for any number of reasons (it being cheaper/less likely to do a background check on him?)
comment in response to post
That's my assumption as well. Especially if there's Foundations outside of Gluttony, which I assume there would be. She's got enough on her plate already and likely isn't able to personally look into a lot of them.

This still gives off vibes of HoneyBunch having a date and Husk somehow getting roped into being their chaperone or something.
