You know how desperate he has to be for the guy who is essentially Reagan 2.0 to even consider taxing wealthy people anything? I don’t think he’s serious, but still.

I saw it at my theater today (after Sinners) and tried to imagine what it was like to see it 20 years ago (I was 1 in 05).

You can be disappointed, and you should comment if you feel inclined. But similarly I feel inclined to express my opinion. I’m disappointed too, but for different reasons than most. I’m disappointed he wasted his talent on what’s overall probably not an amazing project. He’s probably the best part.

That’s an ad (produced by the distributor) for the art, not the art itself.
You can refuse to buy, I’m not arguing the ethical nature of consuming this. I don’t care. I was never gonna watch a children’s Christian animated film. But putting some fault on the actor for doing their job is misguided.

It’s not tone deaf, you just don’t know how a job as an actor works. Being tone deaf also isn’t a moral failing, like what the replies are communicating.

Angel is the distributor. It’s like buying a game, GameStop didn’t make it (although technically they’d be the theatre in this analogy, but bear with me) they just sell it. Nintendo, EA, Larian, whoever- actual makes it. Mark can’t stop Nintendo from allowing Walmart to sell the game.

Didn’t really bring politics into it, but I guess simply mentioning their existence is political. I also don’t care about the morality of the church or whatever. I care about and love film, and Mark’s an actor if you can believe it. So I come at this from an artistic point of view, not political.
