There is a very wide road and it…bothers me so much much. You can see here is a bike lane right up against the “45mph” lane. To the right of that is almost a full lane but with hash marks and a no parking sign. Put the bike lane near the curb! Give them the extra buffer space! #urbanism

@citibikenyc.bsky.social the fact that Adams is pushing for speed limits on bikes when 40K people are killed by vehicular drivers on US streets EVERY SINGLE YEAR makes me sick.Every dismembered body on our streets highlights how disingenuous it is to claim this is about safety.

I’m seeing folks saying that Mayor Fillmore is just proposing a pause so that the bike lanes can be made BETTER. If Fillmore wanted to improve things, he wouldn’t be proposing a “pause,” he’d be proposing an energetic and purposeful acceleration, a courageous removal of barriers and delays.
