When I was at junior school, our football shirt was red with white collar and cuffs. However, as soon as it was washed it became red with pink collar and cuffs.

They are already £1 billion in debt and this is going to cost another £2 billion. They'll be servicing that debt for ever.

Long, long time ago when the UK Championship was always held at Preston Guildhall, a mate and I used to go and watch. Due to a miscalculation when assessing the draw and who might end up playing whom, we ended up with Ray Reardon vs Rex Williams. Both great players, but safety play was involved.

Good as he is (and he is very good, as we all know), I very much doubt that Kelleher would have kept a clean sheet last night. That performance was in Lev Yashin, Gordon Banks territory, although they used to do it regularly.

My Spanish(?) isn't up to much at all, but did he compose a song on the fly about that goal? If so, chapeau.

Love it when plants grow out of cracks in walls or paths. My late parents used to refer to them as 'volunteers'.

That would be nice. Nothing too extreme, though, just nice weather for once.

He scored some great goals and was a wonderful broadcaster.
