You fucking clowns

"Policies" is a super cool euphemism for "crimes."

Great context dudes. Love how you (didn't bother to) mention the specific unconstitutional horrors the protests were actually about.

How hard is it to say he reversed course (undeniable) after Israel failed to pay heed to his wishes (also undeniable)? No idea what you think you do for a living, but it's not journalism.

He literally said he was against an Israeli airstrike the day before it happened, you idiots.

What the fuck is this? Padilla wasn't "mixing it up" over "immigration". He asked a question about a military invasion of an American city and was assaulted for it. You think this shit is cute? A "trend"? A fucking meme?

Given your bothsidesing, I'm not even convinced the New York Times "knows" America isn't supposed to have kings.

Incredible song though. I listen to it and pretend he's singing in Italian.

And yet you still haven't run a front-page story about the Trump administration's stated goal of using the military to effectuate regime change of democratically elected leaders in American cities and states. Seems like maybe that's PRETTY FUCKING IMPORTANT CONTEXT for these protests?

Yesterday, the Homeland Security Secretary literally declared that the mission of the US military in California was regime change of democratically elected officials, and this was the headline you went with. It's not just the sniping of the very online. You really are complicit.

Is his name Pro Football Hall of Famer War On Moon?

When they're made to stop. That's kind of how it works with authoritarians.

Refund the police!

She also proclaimed the US military an occupying army that wouldn't leave California until it replaced its democratically elected leaders. Impeach her.

This is not what outrage sounds like.

Is this one of the accountability stories you were talking about, @ericlipton.nytimes.com? This blurb doesn't suggest holding anyone accountable for anything. The DHS Secretary just declared a policy of leadership replacement by military force. In California. The case is made, don't ya think?

Hilarious that the AP describes Trump's efforts as if he were making an earnest attempt at "inroads," as opposed to crassly taking advantage without ever offering anything.

It's not a "catch." It's a flagrant violation of 1A rights. The anodyne phrasing isn't surprising, given the Times hasn't bothered posting about the Homeland Security Secretary declaring federal government policy in California is removal of democratically elected leadership via military occupation.

That's one way to keep Trump out of the Pentagon.

He's spoken very openly about the dangers of getting pickled.

Thanks, it's super helpful to treat the thoughts of willfully ignorant assholes as valid.

They've been publicly split for years. It's amounted to absolutely nothing. Your failure to note the feebleness of anti-Trump dissent in literally any context is... just another failure of your coverage.

Is that what he's doing when he's suppressing dissent through unconstitutional deployment of the military, ‪@adamwren.bsky.social‬? "Leaning in as Commander in Chief"?

My god take a stand ffs.

He's correct. And your publication is endangering America by reducing Newsom's stance to entry in a "meme war." As if the stakes were mere clicks, and not the future of the country.

He said anyone who protests will be met with "very big force." Stop making him sound like a sane adult. And stop omitting phrases like "In open defiance of the Constitution..." from your headlines. This is not, in the long run, good for free markets. Or your souls.

It'd probably be a lot more expensive if he was paying for their room and board.
