Mom today at school pickup. “cargo bikes are the new SUVs for parents in our neighborhood” Yes they are.

One of the true markers of a civilized city: it's at least as fast, if not faster, to get from the airport to downtown via transit.

"...retail sales south of 60th Street have been $900 million higher in January 2025 compared to the same period last year. In addition, restaurant reservations are up 7 percent year over year, according to restaurant reservation app Open Table."

warming temperatures means cargo bike phone calls are increasing :)

Not good! Wtf

I've told my kid about "planking" He 100% thinks invented it and is super into it. Harlem shake next?

Cycling home from work is such a great way to destress. The steady motion, the fresh air, and the quiet rhythm of the ride help shake off the day’s stress. The cool breeze and the changing scenery make the commute feel less like a routine and more like a well-earned reset.

People paying attention to the Stanley Park bike lane decision already knew how this went down but it's good to see the integrity commissioner call this out.

Our piece finally arrived. It fits perfectly, covers the holes, utilizes the original bolts, and the choice to anodize in black makes it match quite nicely.

so many great cities in the world have a pedestrian only street in the heart of the town but after trying it for one whole summer vancouver was like “no thank you, just a few days each year please”, but that’s just because we can’t handle any more greatness anyways the abel tasman hike is lovely

Broke the 4,000 miles mark today on my @ternbicycles.com GSD. That’s hitting about 1,600 miles a year. All really short local journeys, normally with kids on the back, that would otherwise been done in the car.

I hate that this is so true and hate even more that many will argue it's not.

Canada, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Lithuania, Spain and EU leaders all in Kyiv today

Idea for greening core areas that are short on trees.

Canada dropped StarLink. 🥳🎊🎉🎊🎊🥳🎊🎉🎉🎊🥳🎊

You know I love a good Venn Diagram. Been seeing this one around lately. Seems to sum up the times.

Accidents down 55% and injuries down 51% since nyc congestion pricing (!!!) www.nydailynews.com/2025/02/22/c...

Nice little rip around the seawall today

@tomflood.bsky.social someone in dt Vancouver doesn't want to be free??? Tried to push it back up as best I could. 🚲👍❤️💪

every single transportation conversation ever

Security guard standing outside Tesla showroom in 4th Ave in Vancouver to, I assume, discourage some of the anti musk graffiti.

My lab group is doing a research study on cargo bike users in North America. If you are a cargo bike user and have a minute to take the survey we'd love to hear from you. Or please feel free to share or repost for other cargo bike users. Many thanks! pennstate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_...

Winter in Vancouver 👍🥰🚲

I want to see a study that shows a key urban wellbeing indicator is the amount of 65 year old women wearing sundresses while biking. Video from lovely Milan.

After that plane literally flipped upside down after smashing into the runway and 100% of people survived, I hope every person who ever said “what’s even the point of seatbelts on a plane” feels like a real doof.

A quiet and empty grocery is a pretty incredible high.

"The bicycle is a simple solution to some of the world's most complicated problems"

I'm so angry at these degenerate wannabe tyrants who are taking a sledgehammer to the rule of law, brick by brick. Is what's happening getting through to the average American? Do they care?

Just a reminder, If you live near a bus stop, take some time to clear it off today! It makes a world of difference to our riders, especially those using mobility devices!

The world works because of people doing the work.

Throw back to February 2022: the last time we had a really icy winter here in #BikeHfx. My kiddo wanted to ride his balance bike to the mailbox. So we made him the tiniest pair of crampons (from bike inner tubes and tiny metal washers/nuts) and off we went!

@lucymaloney.bsky.social is a tireless bridge builder & change maker. An incredibly hard worker and someone with deep integrity. And we need your help to elect her to #Vancouver #CityCouncil in the upcoming by-election! Sign up at: www.onecityvancouver.ca/volunteer I hope to see you out there 🥳

I used to laugh at the "I feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread" Bilbo line, but boy do I get it now

Life hack: Go to your local bike shop and buy a new or used bicycle. Put fenders, rack, and panniers on it. Ride it for every commute under five miles. Groceries, arends, everything. Keep at it.

Great to see this show of unity and leadership from our former Prime Ministers. Canada is so much bigger than our politics.

Honestly, this guy. He’s so upbeat, so genuine, so optimistic. A bridge-builder. And this video shot in the snow is visually stunning.

Trudeau: "There's not a snowball's chance in hell that Canada will ever be the 51st state"

Can’t spell tariffs without FFS.

The frequency of $0 hours (the price floor) in Alberta's power market exploded last year.

Doug Ford banned riding your kid to school in an e-cargo bike and anyone under 16 from riding an e-bike. It's still legal for a 16-year-old to drive a Ford F250 Superduty truck with worse sight lines than an M1 Abrams Tank. www.thestar.com/news/gta/dro... #dougford #onpoli #ebikes #ontario #bikes
