But he's never excelled. If the likes of Joseph were still around he'd not get a look in at 13. As a 12 well he's not really and the likes of Farrell even a Barritt as a defensive leader would be better. Surely with any other coach Ojomoh would be there. Or Anyanwu even. But yes clearly differ!

I don't think he was...but you're picking 1 game from years ago out of 60 odd caps! But fair enough if this is him being a brilliant centre we can look forward to more of our wingers being subbed without a touch! Have a good one tho but we just disagree.

True Borthwick is a defensive and poor head coach but Slades never shown anything in attack for England before he came in either. He is definitely not under rated.

But true. For the second playmaker role manybincluding me thought he'd bring he simply kicks...alot. 60 caps and still looks poor in attack.

Tbf to your point though he's not getting asked to do much in attack at all. I guess I just want more from an England side than hang on and hope for luck. But we have Borthwick.

Oh yeah he follows the game plan to kick the second he's got it but he's never showed his passing game at any point with England. Defensively decent but huge errors in pressing in defence consistently too. We need to move on from him. Did Sleightholme get a touch before being subbed?

I appreciate Borthwicks rugby is turgid and horrible to watch but he's seasoned enough to not just kick everything through every time. I don't think he'll be on triple figures for passes from his england caps yet. Overrated definitely.
