B. Eggs are fickle. I learned to cook them by working at a restaurant that served breakfast, and cooking significant amounts them almost daily for several months. Now I rarely mess them up.

If you were staying at The Plaza, this would have been well worth it, and basically the cost of doing business. To the average New Yorker however, what we would consider a “full meal” on this menu would have set them back a full day’s work.

Not to mention, both methods show you intend to never look at the book again. Why? Because perspectives and thought processes change. In 2 years, are you going to remember why you wrote that word in the margin? Maybe. Maybe not. You’ll spend as much time interpreting yourself as the actual text.

The same people who complain about dog-earing a book seem to be the ones eagerly annotating and highlighting every page to their heart’s content. There’s no difference. Both are damaging. The latter is also outdated with amount of note taking options out there. But hey, what do I know?

Soo, I don't understand. Outrage over Cormac McCarthy, yet Picasso did the same sort of twisted thing which is well documented. She was 17, he was in his mid 40's, and his art still sells for millions. So is the outrage at Cormac or at the article?
