I got interested in photography in the mid-1970s, with my work being published from the early 1980s.

I don't know what made me suddenly remember, but the Olympus name for the colour of the OM4 Ti was champagne.

Thanks, it's always been a personal favourite.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks, it was early this morning. Some photos were ruined by a swarm of mosquitoes over the water. I'm glad I remembered insect repellent before heading down to the bay.

Thanks, it's a Kodachrome from the mid-1990s that's been a favourite since I saw it on the light table.

There's also a Red-bellied Sapsucker. 😀

Thanks. Picked up on one of my autumn walks as a subject for my tabletop studio.

Thanks. It's a film original from the late 1970s and is close to the art school I was attending.

Thanks. It was planned out apart from the bird species.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. The lens certainly has history.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. It seemed an obvious choice for selective colour.

I had contacts with Olympus UK in the early 1980s and had two of the first OM4 bodies to arrive in the UK. Some time later I scrapped them and reverted to my OM2n bodies.

Thanks, I was all planned out, but then the European Robin I wanted on the branch didn't show up.

Thanks, I'm trying for variety of yellows for the #WeekYforYellow theme.

Thanks, it's a favourite location on the local bay.

It was a regularly used perch close to a bird table, so I had a good chance of something landing on it as the sun was coming up.

Thanks. I was hoping for a European Robin, but the resident bird had disappeared. Possibly driven off by a rival.

I still have 4 OM2n bodies. The best model of the OM system as far as I was concerned. I found the OM4 bodies far too unreliable for professional use.

Thanks, I'm trying to get as much variety in my yellow posts as possible.

And it clearly wasn't the natural colour of the titanium as mine has worn through and looks dark underneath.
comment in response to post
If I recall correctly, it was supposed to be the natural colour of the titanium with a protective coating to stop corrosion. They started painting them black after a while.

An OM4 T(itanium) from the 1990s top right. The T was the North American version of the OM4 Ti sold in the rest of the world.

I suspect that the sand beige is supposed to resemble the titanium finish of the OM4 Ti film camera from the 1990s.

Thanks, it depends on the type of clouds and wind speed.

Thanks. They were different mornings. The salmon coloured shot was a cloudless sky reflecting the dawn colour.

I was 15, I remember the hot summer as well as the ladybirds.

I remember it.

Thanks, the wooden pilings are a regular subject at a favourite sunrise location.

Thanks, it's the type of image I'm often looking for nowadays.
